Justin was viciously bashed and severely injured. First his life was in danger and now his sanity is. He feels like he can trust nothing and no one. He's drowning in grief over his lost future and besieged by nightmares. He needs someone to talk to - someone with nothing to lose if he tells the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Somehow someway, he'll find his way back to Brian, but no journey that's worth taking follows a straight path. Canon, but happy canon! Yay!
