This story is set a little over ten years after Justin headed off for New York City, leaving Pittsburgh behind. It seems that his plan didn't last long, and a decade later he is happily married to Brian. The only fly in the ointment of their happiness is how much Brian misses seeing his son, Gus far more often than the occasional visits back and forth to Canada. Justin's dearest wish is to arrange for Brian to receive the best Christmas gift ever, and he is willing to do whatever he can to make that happen.

Summary: I know, not a very creative title, but my brain has officially shut down for the night.
So I tried really hard to get this posted by midnight, not as part of a challenge, but for Jackie Mag's birthday! That's right, love, this story is dedicated to you! Sorry I didn't get more done, and it's posting late, but I wanted to have a few decent chapters, and some steaminess just for you.
This story was actually inspired by a plot bunny posted by Deb Tanner. I'm usually not much of one for plot bunnies and turning them into stories, but there was one that just seemed to catch my attention. It's me, so I couldn't do a quick, simple story, and this story will fit into QAF canon.
The plot idea as proposed: It seems that 12 yr. old Jenny Rebecca, Michael's little Honeybun, has her first crush… Justin is very flattered.
This story is a WIP, but it will be finished by the end of the week, promise.

4/8/22 So. That author's note was written a long, long time ago. I wrote it with the best of intentions, I swear. But life happened, and for reasons I won't go into here, I couldn't bring myself to continue writing a story with this subject matter. But that little folder has lived on my desktop for all this time, and I have never forgotten where I left our boys. And so, one day a month or so ago, I opened it up and spent some time reminding myself just how much I love Brian and Justin and Queer As Folk. I still have reservations writing about cancer for 'entertainment'. I am no medical professional, nor have I personally experienced anything like what Brian is going to go through. But I've done more research for this than anything else I've ever done, and I've tried to treat it with the sensitivity and respect it deserves. Please forgive any inaccuracies.
I don't even know if anyone will give it a chance again, but I owe to those of you who trusted me and read it all those years ago (and to the boys) to keep my word and try to finish this beast. I hope you'll join me.
