The King of Babylon and Brian's inner thoughts

Aaron’s best friend in junior high, Teddy, became more than just a friend by the time they graduated one and two in their high school class. They went off to college together where their love continued to grow.  As they completed their undergraduate degree, Teddy was accepted into the Medical School to become a doctor while Justin planned to go to the School of Veterinary Medicine. They had already decided they would graduate in their own fields and then, together, would go explore the world while helping those in need.

But sometimes best laid plans don’t come to fruition. 

Aaron finds himself alone with a newly earned Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and, although it couldn’t be with Teddy, Aaron heads to Africa to help patience and, hopefully, find himself again.

Justin’s down not feeling the Thanksgiving holiday since he’s been kicked out. So, Brian surprises Justin taking him to see his Mom and sister for Thanksgiving.

Justin knows he made the right decision in staying with Brian after something simple reminds him of another day when he could have been really hurt from someone not caring enough when he asked for help.

Justin's supposed to make a decision about Brian's life. He just doesn't know if he can. However, there is a twist that helps him decide in the end. (This is not a death story, but a life story.)

Justin and Brian have twins thanks to Daphne. Their lives are great and they're even thinking of have another child. There is just one hiccup in the perfect world of theirs.

Justin is feeling up for an adventurous night, but Brian isn't exactly thrilled, explaining that danger lurks around every corner, slowly realizing that he actually cares about that twink. (Season 1)

Everything was perfect.

Brian and I were finally together in New York, making both of our dreams come true. I was working from a spacious, comfortable studio in SoHo, and the first show of my return to the city was scheduled for the following weekend. Brian was out with a real estate broker, looking at potential office spaces for the soon-to-be New York expansion of Kinnetik. We had wedding rings on our fingers, having finally tied the knot a few years before, in front of all of our family and friends in Pittsburgh.

Our lives were full of new and exciting opportunities, both professionally and personally. I felt like everything was falling into place in a nice, neat, orderly fashion, one piece after another.

Then, I had the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. And the puzzle that was my life -- so carefully and painstakingly assembled over the years -- was picked up and thrown to the ground, scattering the pieces everywhere.

And everything wasn’t so perfect anymore.

Justin and Brian surprise the family with big news on Christmas Eve.

One Pride Weekend in June, Brian and Justin reflect on their long and winding relationship and discuss marriage, love, and family.

Written for the 2018 QaF Gift Exchange as a gift for TheaPink on LJ. Request was a story about the girls breaking up and getting back together in canon time, with the song "Just Hold On" as a prompt. The song immediately made me think of their S4/S5 breakup. This is a peek into Lindsay's thoughts during that time.

In Aftershock, we see how Justin's bashing at the end of Season One affected Brian. It ended without revealing how the bashing affected everyone else who loved and cared about Justin. The series skipped from that iconic scene of Brian sitting in the hospital right after Justin was admitted, to a month later at the beginning of Season Two, so we have to use our imagination about what went on at the hospital after Michael joined Brian. I hope you will find my perspective interesting.

Justin Taylor meant to tell his parents about his broken engagement, but a month and a half later he finds himself boarding a plane home to his wedding. Having stretched avoidance to its limits, it's time to come clean. A couple of drinks and two Dramamine later, Justin finds himself spilling his story to the tall, dark, and handsome stranger in the seat next to his.

Brian Kinney boards a plane to Pittsburgh in a last-ditch effort to save his business in New York, leaving the details to chance. An unexpected answer is delivered in the form of the bautiful blonde beside him. His openness, outspokenness and humor charm Brian. So when the blonde passes out before landing, he helps him off the plane- a good deed that leads to a colossal misunderstanding. The blonde's parents assume he's his fiancé. In a twist of fate, the mix-up might help Brian save his business, so he plays along, figuring he can help Justin too. All he has to do is stage a public break up convincing enough to appease Justin's mother.

Everything is just a farce and of course Brian Kinney doesn't do marriage- but what happens when he realizes that he really cares for the cheeky little blonde?
