A/N:The warnings here aren't too sepcific so here is what I had just in case, some of these might not happen till later in the story: Minor Character Death, Violence, References to Abuse, OOC
2): So I won't get sued or anything the charecter's from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Charmed aren't mine. They belong to: Constance M. Burge, Brad Kern, Joss Whedon, Mutant Enemy, and the WB. Lyrics that show up belong to their respective owners. Also various charecter's from each show will be coming and going. So for now lets just say there is a little bit of everybody thrown in their. The main pairing here are Brian and Justin so never fear.
So there wont be any confusion the Jason in this chapter is Jason Dean from Charmed.
Also wanna thank you guys for reading, and leaving your thoughts. Here is the second part and I hope you enjoy it!
There’s something inside me that pull’s beneath the surface
Consuming… Confusing
This lack of self-control I fear is never ending
Controlling I can’t seem
To find myself again
My walls are closing in…
Linkin Park, ‘Crawling’
Present time...
He took his time tonight getting ready for nothing, because in reality what he had come here for hadn't really been there in the first place. Babylon was in full swing mode, lights flashing, music blaring, bodies grinding in a tangle of limbs, the back room hadn't taken to satisfying his hunger. His trick of the day hadn't even been that good and left him feeling empty and even colder than before. Making his way through the crowd to the bar he gives the bar tender a look and with out a word the guy hands him his drink. Good 'ole Jim Bean... however tonight even the burn couldn't take away the feeling he'd been carrying these past few weeks. He hadn’t the slightest idea when or why this feeling had just suddenly taken over. All he knew was that it was seriously fucking with his thinking. It was as if he had to be somewhere only he hadn’t the slightest fucking clue where or why.
At first he had chocked it up to boredom, the stuffy offices were getting to him and maybe it was high time he took a few days off… that idea was shot to hell when Gardner asked him if he could take on a few new clients, show them around, get a feel for them. Well the fucker never really asked it was more of a demand. So his few days off turned into days of boring chitchat trying to entice the new clients into signing on with the company. It wasn’t long before the feeling had come back three folds. A niggling at the back of his brain pushing at him, not knowing what he was supposed to do was killing him. So he did the only thing he could think of. Damage control the Brian Kinney way. So when throwing himself into his work failed, he opted for the drink-dance-fuck-drink-fuck therapy.
It was a good thing he had taken the afternoon off today cause there was no way he would have been able to sit through another pointless meeting with a bunch of old breeders who couldn’t tell what was in the now if it bit them in their asses.
This emptiness had turned into something much worse in the last hour, something didn’t feel right, this sudden tug underneath his skin was growing and he was ready to slam his head into the wall. Chugging down three more shots Brian made his way out through the crowd and out the doors into the cool night.
A few blocks away same time …
He shouldn’t have come here in the first place. He didn’t really even belong here… least not at nighttime. Taking a deep calming breath the blond haired blue-eyed young man made his way down the streets past the cat calls and wildly dressed men…woman… whatever’s. On the outside he held a calm façade this angel walking through the night as if he owned the world. Turning the heads of every being on the street. All the while his insides were filled with knots the size of Nerf balls. This had all seem like a fun idea when he and Daphne had talked it out this morning. She had given him the keys to her new car and told him to have fun. Of course this had been more than a few hours ago and his courage had slowly diminished.
Holding his resolve he turned down an elaborate corner his tummy getting tight as he let his feelings lead him around. These feelings that had come out of nowhere just weeks before had been confusing at most. At times they felt as if he didn’t belong anywhere, which was ridicules really. It was as if he was supposed to be someplace, as if his heart ached to be… well he didn’t know where. When those feelings had dulled down he figured it was just his artistic side being dramatic. Queening out as his older cousin Jason would say. Jason. Oh man he was gonna flip out when he found out where he had been spending the last three nights. There was no kind of explanation on earth that would save him from his cousin’s wrath. Not that he could blame Jason but sometimes he wished that the man wouldn’t treat him like a child. There was really only a few years difference between the two of them. Sometimes Justin thought that his cousin had taken his role as guardian a bit to seriously. Daphne even told him one time that maybe Jason had been born with this no fun gene. Of course that wasn’t really true Jason had been fun once of course at the time Justin had been just a kid and that was before his mean Aunt Cathy had that big argument with his mother fallowed by the moving of her son to California, leaving little Justin with no one to play with.
At Twenty-years old Justin could pretty much hold his own he had been taught at an early age how to defend himself. Which is why he had such a hard time understanding Jason, the older man was always on his case whenever he wanted to go somewhere. Justin’s mother had insisted that he learn to defend himself and taught him everything she knew. Justin use to wonder how his mother knew the things she did… At times it seemed as if she were trying to teach him something other than defensive and offensive moves. It was almost as if she were waiting for something to happen. What it was he never dared to ask, every time it seemed he was going to she gave him that look that said ‘something’s-up’ then he got really nervous and stopped himself. So he waited for a good time to come up… of course he lost that chance when he lost his mother to an accident.
Maybe if she had been here now she could explain why he was feeling so… lost.
Michael’s Comic Book store… Back room.
“Ben come on we’re gonna be late!”
Ben Bruckner stood with his back to the closed door hovering in mid-air in a meditative state. From the ceiling came swirls of bright white and blue lights forming into a young lady with dark brown locks. Dusting off her black denim jacket she looked around the small room. “Hey big guy nice to see you still go it.”
Gray Blue eyes flew open as all concentration was broken and down came Ben collapsing into the boxes of old comic books. The young woman formerly known as the Slayer starts to laugh covering her mouth to muffle the sounds.
“Ben you alright back there?”
“I’m fine, the uh… Lighting back here could be a little better!” he called out as he pulled himself up onto his feet, glaring at his companion. “Are you crazy! Michael could have seen you!” was the harsh whispered welcome she got. “I’m not kidding Faith!”
“Chill, I checked the place out before orbing in.”
“Its not safe, what are you doing here anyway? Not taking a break are you?” he joked as he dusted himself off.
“Just checkin’ in on you and the comic kid out there.”
“Don’t start.”
“We got a problem.”
“What sort of problem, and can it wait?”
“That’s a joke right.”
“This is gonna be one of those all niters?”
“Sorry.”
“I’ll tell Michael something came up.” Ben shook his head knowing how much his boyfriend was gonna hate this. “You… Just stay here.”
Same time across town…
“Tell me you’re kidding me?”
“Sorry I wish I were.”
“Daphne you were supposed to look out for him!” The dark haired young lady winced at the familiar tone of voice. She held her cellular inches away from her ears as the man on the other side yelled at her. Rolling her Brown eyes she waited for a few seconds until she was sure his tone had somewhat tapered off into a more communicative sound. “Jason, would you please get a grip, it’s not like you didn’t do the same thing at his age.”
“That is not the point and you know it.” The older man retorted now angry that he hadn’t been able to come home this weekend. He should have known his baby cousin was gonna pull something stupid like this. He was defenseless out there especially now. Why on earth did he think that flying out to California to see Phoebe this weekend was a good idea? He should have taken Justin with him.
“Justin’s a big boy you know he can take care of himself.” Daphne tried but knew it was futile to argue with her best friends older cousin. She wished that Justin had given his cousin a better story than ‘I’m gonna spend the weekend with a friend’ deal. Didn’t he know that Jason would call in to check on them? Sometimes she thought the older man didn’t trust them… Than again this entire situation just proved his point. “Daphne where did he go?”
Although it went against better judgment Daphne sighed and quietly answered, than braced herself for the shouting that would befall her. “HE WENT WHERE!”
‘I’m so sorry Justin’
