Trigger
A line of blood drips from Brian’s lip. “Fuck…” He whispers under his breathe.
“Shut up, Brian.” The trick points the gun to Brian’s neck, just under his bruised jaw, while he covers the lower half of his face with his black scarf. “You listen to me. Yes?” He gets arrogant and aggressive.
“Yes.” Brian answers somewhat annoyed. He still manages to drive despite the blood and the gun pointing in his neck. The blond takes out a long piece of fabric he had in his pocket and turns it around Brian’s neck. He holds the two ends behind the headrest so he can have control of Brian’s neck and choke him if he ever needed to. But he holds it too tight, which causes Brian to have difficulties breathing.
“Turn right at the next stop.” The trick orders.
“Don’t-” Brian chokes out.
“I said shut up!” The blond yells, pushing the gun deeper in Brian’s skin. “Do as I say.”
A line of cars follow in line behind them. Brian looks at the cars in the rear-view mirror. The blond sees him look at the reflection.
“Don’t even think about making distractions with the headlights because I swear I’ll kill us both.” He says as he sits back in his seat, holding the scarf around Brian’s neck as if he’d casually have his arm about him. “Drive. Straight.”
Brian gags blood because of the tightness around his neck, a long line of blood leaks from his mouth.
“Turn left and stop in the alley.” It’s a street downtown where practically everything is abandoned and very obscure. Sure that even if it would be in the middle of daylight with the sun beaming down, this place still would be left in the dark and shadows. The blond orders him to get out of the car. He follows him until they get into a building close by. Brian can feel the gun being pointed at him and doesn’t dare to disobey.
Up the stairs, the blond kicks the door open and pushes Brian inside the wrecked apartment. He lifts the scarf up to Brian’s mouth and ties it tight between his teeth and around his head. Brian can taste his own blood that absorbed with the fabric and tries his best to breathe through his nose. The trick violently pushes him onto a broken mattress in the middle of the room and points the gun straight at him.
“Lay down, on your back.” Brian swallows the blood and stays still.
A shot can be heard throughout the room and rings inside Brian’s ear. The trick had shot the ceiling as a threat. Brian slowly lies on his back and decides to do as the guy says from now on. His breathing comes heavier and heavier. The trick slowly steps forward and leans down to pick up chains that were left on the dusty floor. He throws them on the mattress by Brian’s side and ties his ankles and wrists to the metal post on each corner of the bed like a professional. Once Brian’s well tied and the trick knows that there’s no way in hell Brian could ever escape. He slowly looks at him and pulls his scarf down to show his face. He gets very close to Brian’s face and violently swings his gun in Brian’s leg. He screams with pain and wince.
“Why the fuck are you doing this?” Brian asks his eyes tightly shut.
“I have too do this.” The trick asks with as much rudeness. “Here’s what will happen Brian.”
Brian looks at the guy, the blond knew his name, but he’s sure he never saw him before and he’s sure he would have remembered if he would have meet him. Yet many people know the infamous Brian Kinney so this guy could be anyone.
“You will stay here for five days until my boss comes back.”
“Your boss?” Brian frowns.
“Yes my boss. And don’t interrupt me again.” The blond says warningly as he’s about to hit Brian but stops, figuring it’s useless.
“You won’t see him or talk to him, because when he’s back, you’re dead.” He says angrily.
“So why don’t you just kill me now?” Brian says.
“I just don’t want to hang out with a dead body for five days.” The trick steps back and starts roaming around the mattress.
“If you ever try to brake free, I swear I’ll shoot you in a heartbeat.” The blond raises his gun.
Brian turns his head and wipes his bloody mouth on his arm. This can’t happen… It’s true, he didn’t really care if he would die. Big lost, right? But still there was no way this would be the way he would die. He could die by o.d.d’ing or by scarfing but not by getting shot by his fucking trick.
Brian receives a quick blow to the head. He sees a puddle of blood falling drip by drip on the mattress and everything fades to black as he falls unconscious.
