Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Brian’s POV I immediately let go of Justin, when he cries out in pain. Fearing that I have hurt him, I immediately raise up the sleeve of his shirt, scanning the area where I grabbed his arm. Seeing the huge bruise on his arm, I recoil away from the blonde, unable to believe that I hurt him so much in the space of just a few minutes. Justin looks down at the bruise on his arm, and then back at me. After a moment it dawns on him, and the blonde shakes his head no at me. “Brian, calm down. You didn’t do this to me.” I hear his words, but I don’t believe them. I’ve become the one thing that I’ve always feared becoming, my father. I hurt the person that I love, and so I quickly get up, not caring that I could be sick from the cold or from what happened the other night. I walk over to the door and pull it open. “I think it would be best if you went home.” I can’t stand the thought that I’ve hurt him. It makes me scared at how much like Jack I really am. However, when Justin doesn’t make a move to leave, I say, “Justin, go home.” A hurt look flashes across his face, but I force myself to try and ignore it. I can’t have him here. I’m afraid that I might hurt him more than I already have, if that’s even possible. Staring into his blue eyes, I finally force myself to calm down, and speak to him rationally. “I don’t want to hurt you anymore. I’ve already caused you enough pain.” The words clear my lips, and Justin’s mouth drops open in shock. Yeah I know, Brian Kinney talking about his feelings. Alert the fucking media. “But Brian, you-” I cut the blonde off, not wanting to listen to any excuses he might have for my behavior. “Justin, if you’re as smart as your SATS suggest, then you’ll get out of here. I can’t… I can’t play this game anymore. I’m too old for this shit. I don’t know how to care about someone. You know my family history. I’m damn sure that Michael or Debbie told it to you in the beginning, to scare you away. You should listen to them, they are right. The only thing I’m good for is my business expertise and a good lay. You deserve a hell of a lot more than that, and don’t let anyone tell you differently.” Moments later, I guide Justin though the door and out of my loft. I close the door in his face, despite the blonde’s protests that I didn’t do anything wrong. Well, maybe not yet I didn’t. But it will happen one day, and I sure as fuck don’t want it happening to him. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself, if I was once again responsible for getting Justin hurt. His pleading on the other side of the door tears at my heart. If it wasn’t for the fact that I could end up hurting him as bad as Hobbs did, I would open the door and pull Justin back inside immediately. But I can’t do it. I can’t take the risk that I’ll hurt Justin even more. He already has a bruise from where I roughly grabbed his arm earlier. I push myself away from the door, needing to get away from Justin before my resolve weakens. I get back into my bed, grabbing the bottle of water that Justin had set down on the night stand. I take two long swallows, finishing the bottle off, before getting back out of bed and walking over to the trashcan and throwing the bottle away. Then I stop when I realize that Justin is either waiting for something, or he has given up and left. Either way, I shrug and get in my bed once more. I pull the covers up to my neck. As I lie in bed, wondering what tomorrow is going to be like, I sigh softly. Fate sure has it down pat. Just when I’m getting used to Justin not being in my life anymore, all of this crap has to happen, and now here he is in my life once more. It wouldn’t bother me if we were together again, and he was around. But we aren’t together anymore. Justin left me for the fiddler, and has been with him for a while now. So what makes him think that he can just catch me at a weak point in my life, and then use it to his advantage? Everyone thinks that little Sunshine is so fucking innocent. He might be that way, but Justin is also a tough and hard headed little shit, which is why I love him. He’s also too fucking smart for his own good. My little Sunshine sticks his nose in where it doesn’t belong, and for once, I’m glad as hell that he did. Shit, I can just imagine everyone else’s reaction if I have end up having something. They will all tell me that I deserved it, but Justin would probably just stand there, pity for me coming off of him in waves. The thought makes me want to hurl, so I change the direction in which my thoughts are going in. I decide to call my friend Thomas, who works at the clinic I went to, to get checked out. I’ll call him, and see if my results have come in yet. The call is short, and in those few minutes that I speak to Thomas, my fear only intensifies, instead of lessens like I’d hoped it would. Thomas tells me that there was a problem with my lab results, and that I’ll have to wait two more weeks to get them back now. “WHAT?!” His words shock me and scare me, and I don’t know what I’ll do for the next two weeks. I won’t be able to hide my fear and anger from everyone, so I’ll have to find a way to avoid everyone, especially Justin, Michael, and Debbie.
