Author's Note:Thanks for all of the wonderful reviews. I read each and every review for all of my stories, and love getting them! :-) Also, to answer Rie's questions, Brian is twenty-nine and stays a couple of months (twice a year) at the shelter and helps out Debbie. Lindsay ended up at the shelter when her parents caught her havig sex with a woman (Mel) and kicked her out. She left Mel and ended up at the shelter and continues to stay there. She helps out because she has to. She is twenty-five.

TWO HOURS LATER

Justin walked into the 'family room' and saw Brian sitting on the couch. Lindsay was beside him, her head on his soulder. Justin didn't know why but he felt a sharp pain in his chest at the sight. Bian was so handsome, so... wonderful. He had thought that Brian might like him in that way, but now he wasn't so sure.

Justin had been so positive that Brian was gay, was flirting with him. 'Maybe my gaydar's off,' he thought to himself. He was about to turn aound and head back to his room, when Brian saw him and gave him a smile.

"Justin, hey. Come on over and sit down," Brian said.

After a slight hesitation, Justin walked over and sat down in a chair that was beside the couch, so he was on Brian's left. Justin could tell that Lindsay was none too happy about it, but she did't say anything.

Brian moved his right shoulder, dislodging Lindsay's head. Turning his back on a scowling Lindsay, he gave Justin his full attention.

"So, would you rather watch something or take a walk or... what?"

"Going outside sounds nice," commented Justin.

Brian nodded. "I'll get us a bowel of yogert, then we'll go sit at the picnic table. The one under the Oak tree." Justin gave Brian a shy smile and nodded. He had to admit that sounded real nice.

After Brian left, heading for the kitchen, Lindsay turned to face Justin. "What do you think you're doing?" she hissed.

"Hanging out with a friend," he answered.

Lindsay snorted. "Yeah, right. Brian's not gay, Justin. So, you might as well forget it."

Justin frowned. "Well, he's getting ready to hang out with me and not you. So, I don't really give a damn what you say."

Just then, Brian walked back into the room with a medium-sized bowl and two spoons. "Ready?" Justin nodded and followed Brian out of the house, not looking back.

When they reached the picnic table and had sat down, Brian said, "I thought we could share this bowl."

Justin smiled a bright smile that took Brian's breath away. "That sounds... nice." Brian awarded Justin with a shy smile.

After a couple of minutes of eating in silence, Justin spoke. "If you don't mind my asking, how'd you end up here?"

Brian swallowed his bite of yogert before answering. "Well, Debbie took me in when I was twelve. My home life was... well, not good. She raised me along with her son Michael.

"They became family. I received a scholorship to Carnegie Mellon and got my business degree in advertising. I work at Ryder's Advertising. I take two months, twice a year, and come here and stay to help Debbie. I come all though the year, when I have time, and visit."

"Wow," said Justin. "Where is Debbie's son."

Brian was silent for a few minutes. "He's in jail. He's serving a year for aggravated assault. A homophobic prick was taunting him and started a fight. Michael had to defend himself. He ended up breaking the guy's jaw and left arm."

"Oh," whispered a wide-eyed Justin. Justin took another bite of the yogert, licking his spoon clean. Looking at Brian, he could see the man's hazel eyes darken in lust. They stared at each other for a minute. Then, Bian slowly leaned forward and met Justin's lips with his own. Brian ran his tongue over Justins lower lip, until Justin opened his mouth. Brian's tongue started dueling with Justin's.

When they broke the kiss, they were both breathless. Justin started laughing. "What?" asked Brian with a frown.

"I thought my gaydar was off. I thought, maybe, you had something going with Lindsay. But no straight man could kiss another man like that!"

Brian chuckled. "Me, straight? Hell no! And, Lindsay wishes there was something going on between us. No matter ow many times I tell her I'm a fag, she refuses to listen." Brian took a deep breath, then continued. "I'm attrackted to you, Justin. Have been since I first met you. I know that I'm twelve years older than you and I can tell that you're working though some poblems. I just want you to know that I'm here for you and that, if you want, I'd like to see what this is between us."

Justin smiled a blindingly bright smile. He couldn't believe it! Brian wanted him. Him! "I'd like that, too."

"Great." Looking at his watch, he said, "We'd better head back to the house. Supper should be about ready and Debbie will have our balls in a sling if we're late."

Lauging, Justin stood up and walked with Brian back to the house.
