Nothing Matters When We're Dancing Part 4 Brian danced Justin over to where the band was playing handing the microphone to one of the band members. Everyone who watched was amazed that he'd been able to find the stage as neither Justin nor Brian had taken their eyes off one another since they had broken off their kiss and began to dance. Cooperating completely the band never stopped, one romantic song flowing into the next, the two men gliding effortlessly over the ball room floor like they had been practicing for years. Most of the guests stood back, leaving the floor to the two lovers. Never before in the long history of the castle had romance been so prevalent, the smiles of contentment on both men's faces and the look of love in their eyes caused many of the women watching them to almost swoon with pleasure. What they didn't realize was both Brian and Justin were speaking volumes while they danced, all the heartache and pain was leaving their memories, one sheet at a time like an old movie with calendar pages flying off one by one. Neither man required actual speech, they only had to look into the other's eyes, feel the touch of their hands, the movement of their bodies as they glided in perfect harmony to the music. Nothing ever mattered when they danced. But like all good things, it had to end, soft laughter and then louder laughter broke their concentration, they turned towards the wide stairway in the direction the laughing guests were all looking and couldn't help but smile too. Gus, holding his bear was very solemnly making his way down the stairs on his bottom, one step at a time, oblivious to everyone watching him. You could hear him talking as he got closer. "Daddy Bwian and Dada Jus'n, bear and me need you RIGHT NOW. Daddy Bwian, Dada Jus'n bear and me need you RIGHT NOW." Brian looked at Justin. "Our boy appears to need us Baby" "Don't forget bear, he seems to want us too" "As long as we're together Baby, they can have our attention all they want." Brian pulled Justin in for a quick kiss, then used all the strength he had to pull his lips away and face his little boy who was now running across the ball room floor dragging his bear, his face wreathed in smiles as he approached. Brian bent down and swooped him up in his arms. "Hey Sonny Boy, why aren't you sleeping?" "Need Dada Jus'n. Big bed, bear sad" "I agree, Sonny Boy, if Justin isn't in the bed, it is a sad lonely bed indeed. But Gus has his own little bed. Daddy and Justin will sleep in the big bed." "No" "No Sonny Boy?" asked Brian, looking with amusement at Justin who could barely keep the laughter in. "Brian, Gus has been sleeping with me since he came to visit. He insisted." "It'll be a bit crowded Sunshine, `cause no way am I sleeping without you." Justin mouthed, "we'll move him when he falls asleep." "It had better be fast" Brian growled, he needed Justin in his arms, without a 3 year old taking notes "Jon and Guy too sleep wif Dada Jus'n" insisted Gus. "Jon and Guy, you let other guys sleep with you and Gus?" Brian was puzzled. "No, silly, Jon and Guy are in sleeping bags in the sitting room and so is Molly. It's only for tonight, we wanted all the children in one room during the dance since the little problem that Sebastian and the twins had a few weeks ago." "I'd like to meet these guys." "You will, lets get Gussy Bear back to bed" "Why doesn't his mommies take him?" as soon as the words were out of Brian's mouth, Gus pulled himself up straighter in Brian's arms, stuck out his bottom lip and said. "No way Jose" "He has a lot of his father in him I found out this past week." Smirked Justin. "Besides, the mommies are having a second honeymoon; I promised that I would watch Gus while they do what ever munchers do." "I don't want to even think about it." He started toward the stair "OK Gus time for bed, Justin's coming too don't worry" he said as the little boy was all but climbing over his shoulder to make sure Justin was following. The reached the entrance to Justin's suite. Brian stopped and pulled Justin closer so held both his `boys'. "Justin, the last few months have been hell for me, I want it to stop, you understand? No more secrets, no more hidden agendas for either of us. If either of us wants to say anything then we do, we won't worry about hurting feelings, if nothing else these past weeks have taught me that hurt feelings get better a lot faster if we deal with them right away." "Brian," Justin looked upset, he began to franticly look up and down the hallway. "What's the matter Baby?" Justin's antics had Brian start to worry too, but about what he had no idea. "Emmett, where's Emmett?" "Justin, Emmett's probably downstairs dancing" "Emmett was supposed to be with the guard. You don't understand Brian, the children, they're at risk, Sebastian and the boys were kidnapped, that's how we met, I rescued them. Brian, they were left to die!" Justin started into the room but was pulled back by Brian. "Justin, LISTEN to me, NOW, take Gus and go get help." Brian thrust Gus into Justin's arms and Gus realizing the seriousness of both his Dad's didn't object. Brian slowly began pushing open the door, only to find something blocking it. He shoved harder. He stepped through and over the still body of Emmett, his wonderful dress all askew. Brian checked, he was still breathing, he slowly continued into the room, by the sofa a large man, obviously the guard, was face down on the carpet, a large goose egg on the back of his head, Brian felt for a pulse, it was thready but there. The two sleeping bags were empty, Molly lay sleeping in the third bag, Brian rushed over, from the smell, she had been chloroformed, he made sure she had a clear airway, he knew that help would be in the room soon for the little girl. He looked over to the French Doors leading onto a patio balcony. They were open slightly, he moved over to them, he could see two shapes moving across the wide expanse of lawn heading for the forest. Without hesitating he ran out onto the balcony and vaulted over to the first level of terracing below, two more vaults and he was on ground level. He didn't waste any breath in shouting after the two shapes, he wanted to surprise them. Brian's high school track days proved their value as well as his hours on the treadmill as his long legs silently ate up the distance to the two men. He had almost reached them when the tallest one turned to face him surprise on his face. Brian might have had on dance shoes, but the pointed toe in a patent leather shoe and the follow through of a soccer kick landing squarely between the tall man's legs effectively stopped the kidnapper. He dropped his blanket wrapped young boy with a thud as his voice reached high C in an unearthly squeal. His companion who had been watching, turned to continue his escape, his blanket wrapped bundle clutched tightly, he wasn't about to give up his prize. Brian turned to look back at the castle, people were streaming out over the lawn, he bent down to see that the child that had been dropped was alright. He was breathing and Brian figured the others would be there soon. He whipped off his tie and quickly tied the hands of the man writhing on the ground. Just before he sped off to pursue the other one he drove another kick home. Brian couldn't abide anyone harming a child. The other man had been making good time and was almost at the edge of the forest, Brian was afraid that once he reached the darkness of the trees, he'd never find him. He did the only thing he could, picking up a baseball sized rock; he wound up and threw it. He hoped that the painful hours of throwing a baseball with his father berating him would give him good return. The thud of the rock on the back of the fleeing kidnapper was satisfying. "Thanks Jack" he said to the sky. "For once your homophobic prick attitude paid off. I can throw." Brian reached the other kidnapper as he was picking himself up off the ground. The man pulled back prepared to punch him. Brian easily sidestepped "Watch the face you bastard" he said as his foot went up and he turned a perfect side kick to the jaw. The crack of a bone breaking was somehow satisfying. "When you fight with queers, watch their feet just a little word of advice asshole." Brian picked up the little boy cradling him to his chest. He stood there waiting for help to arrive, ready to kick a little starch out of the second kidnapper should he decide to try and get up. Sebastian and Justin reached him at the same time, both of them in tears. Sebastian's damaged leg would pay later for the forced run, but he didn't care. He gratefully took his son from Brian's arms. "Jon is with Jennifer, he seems to be alright, my Physician will check them." He stared silently at Brian, unable to say any words. There was no limit to the amount of thanks he had for Brian. Justin had his arms wrapped around Brian so tight, he thought he'd never be able to breath. "Justin, Baby, it's alright, you can let me go." Brian tried to wiggle free. "Justin, look at me" Brian let his fingers trail down Justin's cheek coming to rest on his chin, gently tilting it up. Their eyes met, Justin's blue ones filled with unshed tears and reflecting the terror he had felt when he'd come into the room only to watch Brian launch himself over the edge of the balcony. "I'm OK, no more effort than my treadmill when I'm pissed with you." He teased. "Brian, you could have been killed" whispered Justin. "There was no way I could let this little one and his brother be taken again." Brian rubbed Guy's back. It looks like they were chloroformed when they were asleep. They'll wake up sick to their tummies but no worse for wear." "Brian I was so scared for you and for the boys." "Justin, I grew up in a bad neighborhood, between my father and the other kids I knew how to fight and win before I hit high school and became relatively civilized." He looked over to the man on the ground and nudged him with his shoe "I only hope these assholes didn't ruin a perfectly good pair of Prada's" Brian looked so serious as he tried to see his shoes in the moonlight that both Justin and Sebastian laughed. "Brian, I'll buy you so many of these fancy shoes, you'll never be able to wear them all" said Sebastian. The Police had arrived finally as well as Jennifer with Jon on her lap sitting regally in one of the electric golf carts that were used to get around the vast grounds surrounding the castle. "Sebastian, bring Guy and climb aboard, you need to be off your leg and both boys should be looked at by the Doctor." Jennifer was in efficient mother mode and even Sebastian knew enough to climb up on the rear seat of the cart without question. "Come on Baby, leave the cretin to the Police, I could use a drink. We'd better see that Emmett's alright and find Gus." Brian put his arm around Justin and together they walked back to the well lit Castle grounds. Brian and Justin took their time walking, neither man wanted the companionable silence to end. They knew that once they reached the lights, questions would be asked non stop, it would be a long time before they'd be alone. Justin looked up at the windows next to his suite. Deb was silhouetted in the window and she was holding Gus, he felt relieved to know that Brian's son was being looked after. He knew Deb would keep him amused for as long as it took. Brian pulled Justin into the shelter of a few trees, they could see what was happening by looking through the bank of window into the well lit rooms. He felt he needed a few minutes alone with Justin. The realization of what he'd just done to keep the boys from disappearing, suddenly enveloped him and he began to shake. Justin, always aware of Brian's body and what he was feeling put his arms around him and held him tight. Brian resisted for only a second then let himself relax in his lover's arms. For once he was the one on the receiving end of comfort offered and he like it. They both held each other tightly, no words were spoken as they each relived the last half hour. Finally Brian, pulled back far enough to tilt Justin's chin up and kissed him gently. "Justin, I need to tell you something." He started. "It's alright Brian" "No, I need this Justin. I gave you my journals to read so that you could know a part of me that no one else knows. It's important to me that you realize this. There is nothing in my life, in the past, now in the present or in the future that I want kept from you." "Brian, you don't have to do this." "Yes, I think I do. I've spent so many years hiding my feelings from everyone that it became second nature. I know I'll continue to do it, but I want you to call me on it when you notice. The next few years won't be easy Justin. I'm building the business in Pittsburgh right now and if I leave to start my own company then I'll be building that one. You, you're an amazing artist, you have years to go with your studies. It looks like you've found yourself a family here and you have your family back in the States, you'll be torn between the two places. I have feelings for you, very deep feelings, yes I love you. I don't know what we're going to do. I want you with me all the time and yet I realize I can't ask you to leave France." Brian looked miserable. "Brian, let's work on this together. I want to be your partner. Part of that means we'll have to work things out for both of us to be satisfied." Justin held Brian's hand up to his lips and kissed his fingers one by one. "For right now why don't we go in and deal with family, friends and police. Tomorrow we can be serious. I love you and you love me - we've finally established that, we both admit it and the sky hasn't fallen." Brian smiled at Justin and Justin returned it with one of his own. Both of them felt light hearted. With a whoop of joy Brian picked Justin up and whirled him around setting him down, kissing him passionately. "Let's do it Baby, get it over with now and I can have you all to myself later." The family and friends had gathered in the main drawing room. The twins were curled up like puppies in one of the large wing chairs, someone had covered them with a softly woven throw. Gus, his eyes bright and full of hell was the first to spot the two men as they walked in through the open doors. He'd been sitting on the floor leafing through one of his books. He looked up at his father and Justin and clapped his hands. "Daddy Bwian kiss Dada Jus'n an make him smile." He announced to everyone within hearing. The next hour was spent in telling and retelling the events that had taken place, first to the police and then to the family. Emmett and the guard had been taken to the local hospital to be checked, but both were expected back in the morning. Finally, Justin was able to convince everyone to go to bed. He began to carry Gus up to his suite, Brian following closely behind. Mel and Lindsey had gone to bed hours ago after a tussle with Gus about where he was sleeping, Gus won because they all knew that he'd soon be going home and he wouldn't see Justin for many months. Brian and Justin walked into the suite; someone had been in and cleared away all evidence of the children's slumber party and subsequent adventure. A small cot had been set up in one corner for Gus. He'd finally fallen asleep on his way up the stairs, both Justin and Brian were grateful for that. Gus had inherited his father's stubbornness, and it wasn't a good thing in this instance. Justin, placed him in his little bed, Brian tucked the teddy bear in beside him. His eyes never opened but his little arm pulled the bear in closer, much like his father does with Justin, both men heard faintly "I love you Daddy Bwian, I love you Dada Jus'n" then the gentle deep breathing of a little boy. The men, their hands touching walked into the bathroom to prepare for some much needed rest. Someone had filled the over large clawfoot tub with hot water and lavender bath salts, candles had been lit all over the room, an ice bucket with a cool bottle of wine and two crystal goblets had been placed on a small table near the tub. Justin wasn't sure who was responsible, but he could have kissed them when he saw this display. He didn't say a word, but turned to Brian and began to unbutton his shirt, kissing Brian's chest as each button revealed a tiny bit more of his lover's body. He stopped only long enough for Brian to pull the jacket of his costume off his shoulders then pull his Peter Pan tights down. Brian had far more buttons and each one held guard over a treasured part of this much missed body. When they both were finally nude they each stood back for a moment drinking in the site of each other, memorizing it. Justin held out his hand and Brian took it. Brian stepped into the water first Justin following, sitting with his back against Brian's chest, Brian's strong legs on either side of his, the hot water rising up high on their chests. Brian poured them each a glass of wine, handing one to Justin. It was only then that anyone spoke. Justin turned looking into Brian's eyes and offered a toast "To the partnership of Brian Kinney and Justin Taylor" Brian smiled; Justin wasn't going to let him get away with anything "to our partnership Baby." He grinned as he saw Justin's eyes light up at his words. He continued to grin as Justin turned around and settled back, safe in his arms. They sat for awhile, soaking in the tub, the warm water relaxing their tired muscles until fatigue told them it was time for bed. They each took turns giving the other a quick wash. Justin was out of the tub first. He was ready with a warm fluffy towel for Brian and they quietly dried off, both exhausted from the day's events and the hot bath. Justin wanted desperately to feel Brian's naked body next to his. It had been so long, but tonight was like the first time, he actually felt shy as the approached the canopied bed together. Brian looked at him and smiled "I feel like a virgin bride in here." "I was thinking the same thing" Justin giggled. He looked up into Brian's hazel eyes smoky with lust. "It is our first time Brian, our first time as equals, as partner's in every sense." "I suppose it is. For a first night we've had quite an adventure. Does this mean our life will always be this much of a rush?" "Probably" Justin sighed "I love you Brian, no matter what happens" "I love you too Baby" Their lips met, at first hesitantly then with passion. Brian pulled back the bedding then scooped Justin up in his arms, kissed he again then lay him gently on the cool sheets, stopping only to admire how this younger man's skin glowed like the luster of fine pearls, other worldly in the diffused moonlight. Justin began to speak "Brian - Brian placed his finger tips on Justin's lips. "Tonight isn't about satisfying our needs in a mindless fuck - we can do that any time and we will. Tonight is about making love. He lay beside Justin, their love felt like a solid presence. Without words their lips met. Brian let one hand trace patterns in Justin's hair. He couldn't take his eyes off the face looking up at him, eyes filled with love and trust. He wanted to drink in the sight, savoring him like a fine wine. Brian was almost unaware of the emotions overtaking him, they were so unfamiliar, but Justin felt the slight tremor as it rippled through Brian's body, he watched in wonder as tears filled the hazel eyes and began to spill over, falling like warm raindrops on his face. He knew what Brian was feeling, what he finally was allowing himself to feel. He knew the walls that had been painfully constructed over many years were crumbling and he did the only thing he could. He wrapped his young arms around Brian, pulling him close, holding him tightly, whispering words of endearment, and promises of love. Neither man knew when the tears they shared turned to passion, but it did, they took turns with kisses, and well placed hands finally joining together to declare their love with loving abandon until they finally fell asleep entwined in each other's arms. Only a few hours had passed when the sun began to rise, filtering through the curtained window illuminating the two sleeping lovers. Gus woke up as the first rays hit his face. He looked around; puzzled at first because he wasn't in bed with his Dada Justin, then he smiled remembering the fun things that had happened last night. To a little boy as young as Gus, the activity of the night before had been a great adventure. He climbed out of his bed, careful to bring his bear with him. He headed to the bathroom first, still pleased with himself that he didn't need help when he peed, Dada Justin had put a little stool in the bathroom and he could reach everything with it. He pulled the stool over to the sink and carefully washed his hands. His Dada Justin's cologne was sitting on the counter and he helped himself to a little, trying to be careful not to spill. He'd accidentally spilled some once and while Dada Justin didn't get mad at him, he did look sad and Gus was careful from then on not make Dada Justin sad. He took off his pajamas then looked around for his clothes, but couldn't see any. He didn't mind the fact that he hadn't any clothes on; he liked to feel the sun on his body. Dada Justin said his Daddy was the same way. He wandered out into the living area and decided to do some work like his Dada Justin so he carefully powered up the computer. He knew how to find his very own special things. Dada Justin had shown him. He played for a little while, but it was no fun without his Dada. He sat and watched the screen saver for a few minutes, it was pictures of Gus, and his two Dads, he liked the way they would fly across the screen, fade away and appear in another spot. Gus was hungry, but he knew he wasn't allowed to go down to the kitchen without a grownup. He went over to the small fridge that sat inside a low table. Sometimes it had good stuff in it. He was rewarded with a pitcher of juice. It was very heavy and he needed two hands to lift it out of the fridge, he only spilled a little bit, so little that he didn't even notice the sticky juice covering his tummy. He had to put the glass on the floor to pour the juice in, but he didn't think Dada Jus'n would mind. The cold juice felt nice in his mouth and throat. He looked around and found a box of chocolates up high on a shelf in the sitting room. It didn't take long with the help of a chair to climb up and get it down. Chocolate was a good breakfast even his bear liked chocolate. He was still a bit sleepy, but he wanted his Dada Justin and his Daddy Brian to sleep with him. He walked softly into their bedroom, if he stood up on his toes he could see the two of them sleeping. Gus climbed up from the bottom of the bed, and slowly made his way up the sleeping men. He wiggled his sticky, chocolate covered body in between the two of them. Both men's arms draped over him as they held each other. Gus was happy, his two Dad's looked happy, so he was happy. He giggled to himself, he sneaked in and they hadn't even woke up. He shut his eyes and was soon sleeping soundly, content in the love of the two men on either side of him. Both Brian and Justin woke at the same time, both kept their eyes shut against the brightness of the sunlight. Both remembering their lovemaking of the night before, somehow the familiar moves, and touches, kisses and orgasms, had been different. Like they were different people, yet the same, Justin thought he could smell chocolate; he adored French chocolate and always had some somewhere in his suite. Brian smelled it too and wondered how Justin had managed to get up without his knowing and eat chocolate. Brian opened his eyes to look at Justin and came face to face with a sticky chocolate faced Gus, snoring quietly. He pulled himself up on his elbow at the same time Justin did. Justin looked at his messy bedmate and then at Brian, he started to laugh. "We appear to have been invaded by a sticky chocolate monster." "He can't be my kid; my kid wouldn't eat chocolate so early in the morning. Are you sure you didn't know Lindsey before you met me." Brian teased Justin. "Oh he's yours alright. He has the same pouty lips when he doesn't get his own way." "I don't pout." "You're doing it now." "OK then what am I pouting about?" "That you can't have any morning sex." "I think that's you pouting." "Nope, I'm young I can think fast first thing in the morning, I'm going to have a shower. If I remember correctly, sex in the shower is especially refreshing." "I do remember." The two of them climbed out of bed, doing their best not to disturb the sleeping boy. And yes sex in the shower was very refreshing. Luckily they were finished with the sex and working on actually washing when they felt a cool breeze and a naked little boy walked into the shower with them. "Hi guys" he said showers always made him feel like a big boy. He liked the feel of the warm water. Gus reached up and took the soap from Brian's hand, Brian was speechless, Gus industriously began to soap up like his Dada Justin had shown him. "What happened to Gus?" Brian asked, "I'm sure he was a baby last week" "He's like his Dad, anxious to learn and do new things. He wants to grow up and be independent." "But I'm not ready for him to grow up; I'm just NOW growing up myself" "I like to think of it as a Father/son project. It's kind of fun to watch." Justin ducked as Brian blew a mouthful of water at him. "Brat, life with you is going to be interesting." "You mean it hasn't been up to now?" "Up to now it's been irritating, heart wrenching, sometimes fun and sometimes miserable. It's had me upside down and inside out emotionally." Brian looked at Justin intently, "I'm more than ready for loving and interesting" "Must be your age." Justin looked at Brian and realized he was serious. "Brian, our life together, will always be fun, and sometimes miserable, but I'll always love you and I know it will always be interesting." He leaned over and kissed Brian. "Hey, me too" piped up Gus, looking at both men "Kiss Gus too" he demanded. "See, just like his father" quipped Justin as he lifted Gus up for a kiss "Come on men, let's get dressed and have breakfast, I'm starving" Both Gus and Brian said at the same time "You always say that." Father and son looked at each other and dissolved in giggles. Brian looked at Gus, "Gussy having a big boy around is going to be fun." "Yeah fun Daddy Bwian." Justin shook his head, having two of them was going to be a lot of work was what he was thinking.
