A/N: OK I should warn you... in this chapter you'll find some violence in the beginning!!! Once again thanks to my wonderful beta Big J ------------------------------- ”Justin! How often do I have to tell you not to draw your pathetic sketches? Doodling is something for little girls but not for men!” Craig was furious. He had found sketches drawn by his son. What would all his friends say if they found out about his son’s hobby? They were already talking about Justin because he never drank with other young men his age and had never fought with anyone in his short life. He had to teach the boy some manners or people would soon think about him as a pathetic father who had raised a weak, pathetic man. No, he couldn’t let that happen. “Take off your shirt Justin!” he commanded. Justin took off his shirt. He knew what was coming now. His father only did it when he wasn’t pleased with Justin, and that was very often. He turned around, his back to his father and then he heard a hiss and at the very same moment his back began to sting. “Argh” Justin tried to take a deep breath but the whip once again hit him. He tried to hold back his tears. It hurt so damn much. “Justin! You know why I do this, don’t you? You know I have to do this!” his father said, still being angry with his son. “Yes - father” He was being interrupted by another blow to his back. “You’ll leave tonight. Your mother doesn’t need to know that you were disobedient, am I right? You’ll go on board on the “Endeavour” and you’ll do what a man has to do! You’ll be the merchant this time to show me that I can be proud of you” Craig stopped and left the room. Justin sank to the floor, letting his tears freely fall. “Dad… I’m sorry… I’ll make you proud” Justin whispered to the empty room. ***** Justin woke up, tears still running down his face. He had dreamed of the evening before he had been sent away, away from his family by his own father. It had been two weeks since he had been found on the tiny island. He had been in bed in the same cabin for the whole of his stay so he could recover from his injuries. Emmett had visited him a lot and they had talked. Justin really liked the tall man and had soon found a friend in him. He had told him about Vic, the old sailor on the “Endeavour”,- the only person he missed, except for his family. He had woken up nearly every night, feeling that he was being watched but he had never seen anyone so he always fell asleep again after a few seconds. Today he would start working on the ship like the Captain had said. His shoulder didn’t hurt any more and he could do some easy work. Since that one night nearly two weeks ago, he hadn’t seen the Captain and nearly every night he dreamed of the hazel-eyed man. He was anxious to see him again. It was early in the morning and the sun began to rise when Emmett stormed into the cabin. “Baby! Wake up! We’re going to have a loooot of fun” He grinned while Justin climbed out of the warm bed. “I’m up!” he muttered and stood now in front of Emmett, wearing only a big shirt. “Oh…” Emmett laughed “…are you sure you want to go on deck like this? I mean… the guys will like it but …..” he winked. “But I don’t have anything else” Justin turned red and looked at the floor. “These should be ok” He gave Justin the clothes he had brought with him to the cabin. Justin looked at him with big eyes. “Uhm… so is this your room?” Justin blushed and began to undress. He wanted to thank Emmett for letting him stay in his bed and in his cabin but Emmett began to laugh once again. “Oh baby! No, this is definitely not my room. Look around! I’m just a little sailor on this ship” he smirked and continued “… this here is the Captain’s cabin” Justin’s mouth fell open. He had slept in the Captain’s cabin? God! He had slept two whole weeks in the man’s bed whom he adored, without knowing it. “But where…” Justin blushed thinking about the many nights the man must have slept in the bed. “Oh don’t worry hon! He slept with us in his very own hammock.” Emmett giggled. “You know, he isn’t really a man for a hammock” In the mean time Justin had finished dressing. “Oh you’re ready! Let’s go baby! We have a loooot to do” he grabbed Justin’s wrist and pulled him with him. ***** Ted and Blake were scrubbing the deck while talking to each other. “I’ve heard that blondie is working on the ship from today on, is it true?” Ted asked and Blake nodded. “Yes. The Captain said that he had to do something when his shoulder was OK. You know, Brian kind of acted strange the last few days, don’t you think so?” “Don’t be silly! He still wants to throw me overboard each day, so nothing has changed. He’s still the asshole we all know. You’ve heard too many kinky stories, believe me!” Blake shook his head and went on with scrubbing. He knew something was going on and it had something to do with their blond captive. ***** “OK! We have to cook today and uhm… let me think…” Emmett considered “… I think we can clean the Captain’s cabin. I guess now that you’re OK he wants to sleep in his own bed again” “But I cannot cook. I’ve never done that before” Justin looked at Emmett helplessly. He wanted to do something before he died of boredom. Emmett looked at him and shrugged. “Well then, I guess you have to clean the Captain’s cabin… I’ll help you when I’ve finished the food. Do you think you can do it?” Justin nodded “Sure! It can’t be that difficult” He grabbed the bucket which Emmett had just filled with fresh water and an old cloth and walked to the cabin, leaving Emmett in the kitchen. Emmett grabbed a potato and began to peel it, smiling over the young man’s comment. Hopefully he won’t swamp the cabin or the Captain will kill him… or worse. ***** Justin made the bed he had slept in the last two weeks and after that he put everything aside so that he could scrub the floor. He would make this cabin as clean as it would ever be. He smiled, once again thinking about the good-looking Captain, whom he hadn’t seen since his first night on the ship. He dipped the cloth in the cold water and pulled it out again and began to scrub the floor. It was fun. Justin had never done something like this before. At home, they had Mary, who cleaned everything for them but Justin really enjoyed it, whistling his favourite song. He splashed around with the water and when he was half-done with the cabin his shirt was wetter than the floor. He got rid of his shirt and picked up where he had left off, not noticing the man standing in the doorframe. The man slowly walked over to Justin, who had his back to him. “Well, would you care to explain to me what you are doing here?” Justin stiffened and slowly turned around, still kneeling on the hard wooden floor. He looked into the face of God… tbc ------ argh I hope you liked it at least a bit. I'm sorry for the scene in the beginning!!! And thanks for all the reviews I've got for the last chapters
