Wow Mel thanking Brian, thanks Mel for doing that. This is such a lovely story.

* hugs *

Author's Response:

Hi, Marny - you're such a loyal reviewer - I'm so appreciative of that.  We have to plod through the medical storyline for a little while so I can build up the boys' relationship.  So glad you're reading this - thanks for leaving me the review.:)  *Hugs* to you, too.:)

Reviewer: lindc (Anonymous) · Date: February 25, 2011 11:13 AM · On: The Mothers Arrive

thank you so much for your dedication to us.  it makes us feel so validated for reading and reviewing your wonderful stories--all of them.  i wish i could write it brings happiness to so many people.  just read this chapter(as usual in our place)..loved=loved-loved it.  he won't suffer deafness or blindness as his dad got him help in time.  this story is becoming the talk of the break room, as mouthy rick, as i like to call him has turned 6 other people in to reading tlc.  way to go.  geeze it may even go all around our floor.  never know.  it's that good we feel. lol from all the fearsome foursome. BROODING BRIAN made up our new reviewing name.  linc and the fearsome foursome. ha ha!!!  lol

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend!  I had to laugh out loud at your comments!  Sounds like the story's going around the floor about as fast as the meningitis would if it wasn't contained properly - LOL!  Poor little Gus - having to be the unfortunate conduit to bringing our boys together.....but it will be for a very worthy cause, I assure you - ha!  Have to get Gus out of bed first so I can put THEM in - LOL!  The Fearsome Foursome, huh?  Like the name but if the story spreads like a literary disease you may have to expand upon it....I'm assuming the fourth person in your party has a nickname, too (Mouthy Rick, lindc, Brooding Brian....).  Anxiously waiting for the answer - LOL!  Thanks again for all the kind words - stay tuned....I've got all sorts of ideas running in my head for the story - hope you'll overlook some deficiencies in my medical expertise in the meantime.  After all we all know why we're reading this and it has nothing to do with meningitis, now does it?  HA!

love this story cant wait for more

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  I'm very glad you're enjoying it.  I really like writing scenes between Brian and Gus - I always loved their relationship on the show. I will be updating this shortly - I try to update the stories in order and this one is up soon, so I will try and get a new chapter posted as quickly as I can.  Don't worry - it won't be too long now.  Thanks for taking the time to leave a review - I really appreciate that!:)

* blushes * thanks for the compliment.
Now I'm curious, which two (of the twenty) banners I made were your favorites!?
Aggrrr I can't find all those banners anymore on this site, where are they * sniffs *.
I did notice too that you made some of them.

Author's Response:

You're welcome - it's so well-deserved! I was looking at the first two you have posted on your author profile earlier but then I went back on there and noticed I didn't scroll down long enough - OMG!  Those are ALL yours?  I'm in awe - you are so creative, my friend!  I particularly like the second one with the moon on the left and close up of the boys on the right with the yellow - simply beautiful!  But they are all incredible - so jealous of your talent.  Did you use Photoshop for them?  I actually have Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 but haven't quite figured out to use it yet - AARGH!  Maybe this summer when I have more time I'll be able to master it; in the meantime I'll just have to keep to my stories.  Thank you again for all your kindness and *hugs* back to you!

* is ashamed * I read this chapter, but didn't comment * blushes *.

Pff my comments are always the same .. I love this story very much. Aggr can I knock some sence in Mel and Lindsey. Brian loves little Gus * sighes * . Keep writing.

* hugs *

Author's Response:

Thank you once more, my friend!  Your words of encouragement are very special to me.:)  *Hugs* to you, too - BTW - I just realized you were the creator of two of my favorite banners for the contest - you may not write stories but you are very talented when it comes to those - they are BEAUTIFUL!  Thanks again.:)

Ok, I will get to this story someday but now the hamster (my muse) is hot to write more on the Merlin tale (even if we can count our reviewers on one paw).

Suddenly I feel like I'm raising a red headed step child :) that few people love.

I've never failed to finish a story and will be jaded-damned to do so now.

Merlin may be very new here but I still foresee it being huge in the future.

With four Top Ten Reviewed Stories I can afford to lay an egg and believe it will hatch someday.

Author's Response:

Hi, Bob!  So nice to hear from you.  You poor man - I hate that you're being neglected - and they're such pretty fellas, too - LOL!  I know how it is to not feel the love at times so I can certainly sympathize....:)  But with four of the top ten reviewed stories on the site, I don't think you have anything to worry about - we should ALL be so lucky!  I will never reach that rung, I'm sure!  Thanks for checking in my friend.:)

Posting a chapter at a time and gaining reviews and a following took time. You're an amazing writer milady. If not for several rabid fans I would have never gained that level. And I begged like a shameless bum for many of them :)

I do see something special in your reviews - QUALITY! ~ JT

More, more, please!!!!

Author's Response:

Thanks, Emma!  Glad you liked it!  It may take a while to really get these boys moving together (both figuratively as well as literally - ha!), but they will eventually.  Thanks for reading and leaving a review.:)

What a moving chapter. I am utterly speechless - not an easy feat to perform, let me tell you! Brian's devotion, and his intense questioning of Gus' condition simply tore at my heartstrings. Of course, I expected Mel to react as she did - that is par for the course. The emotion displayed was just incredible, along with the continued awareness Brian and Justin had for the the other despite all that was happening. Brilliant update, my friend. Looking forward to little Gus recovering, and what happens next between these two. =)

Author's Response:

Thank you my dear.:)  Yeah, I'd like to just move on to the "good part" (we all know what THAT means - lol!), but unfortunately it wouldn't be too realistic.:(  Never fear, though, it will eventually get there.:)

Reviewer: bksbracelet (Signed) · Date: February 19, 2011 09:23 AM · On: Life and Death Struggle

Fantastic chapter, I understand the reponses from the girls but it still hurts Brian when they assume he did something wrong.

Author's Response:

Thanks, Chris - so glad you're reading along.  I don't think I'll have the two mothers be too harsh with him - surely they can't figure he's to blame for this one, but then again we all know Mel especially....!

Reviewer: lindc (Anonymous) · Date: February 19, 2011 08:49 AM · On: Life and Death Struggle

this chapter very good.  you are correct in your medical knowledge.  he's young that is a blessing as they have more strength to fight than older people.  it will take a while for him to rally, but he will--if i know you.  he will have to take some time tho so justin can become a fixture in brian's mind.  next chapters will be wonderful--i just know it. lol

Author's Response:

Thanks, my friend!  Glad I was fairly accurate - it always makes me nervous when I'm dealing with medical information that I'm not very familiar with.  Do not fear - I see a lot of interaction coming up with ALL the boys but especially the two "grown-up" ones - LOL!  Thanks as always for reading and reviewing - tell the rest of the gang I said hello!:)  I'm now onto "Double Jeopardy."

Reviewer: no sleep (Signed) · Date: February 15, 2011 06:00 AM · On: The Art of Compassion

I'm very much enjoying this story!  Medical stories are always interesting to me.  And you can't seem to write a bad story. Please continue.

Author's Response:

Thank you, my dear - glad you'll be reading it.  I should be updating this soon.  I'm working on the next chapter of "She's Your Daughter" right now and then it's off to "I Don't" to reunite the two boys.  This one will be next after that.  Thanks for letting me know you'll be following along!:)

Reviewer: 087bue (Anonymous) · Date: February 11, 2011 10:03 PM · On: The Art of Compassion

poor gus hope he gets better soon.in sure brian will get justin alone in a room soon and do bad thinge to him.:-)

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review, my friend!  Glad you're reading along.  Well, I know it will be hard for Brian to control himself around a certain blond, but I think I'll at least have him wait to attack until he knows his son's going to be all right - LOL!  Thanks for reading.:)

Reviewer: bksbracelet (Signed) · Date: February 11, 2011 07:30 PM · On: The Art of Compassion

I knew it I am quicker than the doctors lol althought to be fair they guessed it as well but needed it confirmed.

Justin how nice is he with the little patients. I must have thought Brian would have called Mel & Linds by now.

Author's Response:

Hi, Chris - Yeah, I guess I can put off "the phone call" only for a little while - I think there's going to be a short blizzard in the meantime, though - LOL!  Thanks for the review - stay tuned! (You know, though, that I'm just playing with Gus temporarily - I would never permanently hurt the little fella - he's too handy as a plot device - ha!:)

Reviewer: BROODING BRIAN (Anonymous) · Date: February 11, 2011 10:25 AM · On: The Art of Compassion

WAS TOLD I BETTER REVIEW.  SHE CAN BE A NAGGING PERSON WHEN SHE  SETS HER MIND TO SOMETHING.  I KNOW YOU KNOW WHO I MEAN..JUST KIDDING.  THIS SUBJECT IS INTERESTING AS THERE ISN'T MUCH YOU CAN DO FOR MENINGITIS IF IT IS VIRAL.  REST, DARK ROOM, MEDS FOR HEADACHE, PUSH FLUIDS AND WAIT.  USUALLY TAKES A COUPLE WEEKS TO SEE SOME PROGRESS.  GOOD STORY  WAITING TO SEE HOW EVERYTHING DEVELOPS.  U GO GIRL.

Author's Response:

I have a feeling that someone prodded you to use that User ID - LOL!  Actually, I was hoping to get by with the the more milder version of the disease but I'm not sure just yet.....may have to use the viral kind just to draw it out and give the boys more time to get to know each other.  In fact that kind of sounds appealing at the moment - I just hope I don't make it sound toally off the wall with his treatment - so I appreciate the advice on how to take care of him so Justin can take care of the dad - ha!  Thanks for reviewing!  (Love your name BTW - LOL!)

Reviewer: judi (Anonymous) · Date: February 11, 2011 06:42 AM · On: The Art of Compassion

This was a great chapter.  I'm anxious to see how the girls react, probably that it was Brian's fault but what else is new.  Hopefully not.

Judi

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, Judi!  Glad you're enjoying it.  I'll give you a hint - I think I see an unexpected, late-spring snow down where they're vacationing that just might put their cellphone out of service for a while - especially Mel's - LOL!  Thanks for the review - I'll be updating it soon.:)

Reviewer: Jenny (Anonymous) · Date: February 11, 2011 02:27 AM · On: The Art of Compassion

I already love this story. Can't wait for more.

Thanks, Jenny!  I appreciate the review and the fact that you're reading the story.  I should be updating it regularly.  Thanks again for the kind words.:)

Reviewer: Joanna (Anonymous) · Date: February 11, 2011 02:03 AM · On: Sweet Dreams

I am liking this story. And Justin as a janitor is good. Keep up the good work and thanks for updating.

Author's Response:

Thanks, Joanna!  I think Brian's going to need some "special attention" while he's worrying about his son, don't you?  And I know just the person to give it to him - LOL!  Thanks for the review and for reading the story - I really appreciate it.:)

Reviewer: BluvsJ (Anonymous) · Date: February 11, 2011 01:20 AM · On: The Art of Compassion

Poor Gus.... meningitis.... that can be serious..... I just hope that Psycho Melanie doesn't find a way to blame Brian for what happened.... he probably feels guilty enough already.... great chapter as always...lol.... Thanks...

Reviewer: lindc (Anonymous) · Date: February 10, 2011 08:07 PM · On: The Art of Compassion

Yup.  we guessed it.  we see this disease every once in a while at the hospital.  can be very bad depending on how the patient reacts to the care.  poor gus and brian.  interesting to see how they all do.  better i assume after some dramatic angst.  good storyline.  we love it. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc!  I was a little nervous about writing about medical matters because I knew you and "Brooding Brian" would be reading it (at least I was hoping so - LOL!).  Hope I don't get it too screwed up - hope you'll forgive a little literacy license if I do.:)  Thanks for letting me know you're reading along - I should be updating "Double Jeopardy" next.  Thanks for leaving the review, too - it's greatly appreciated.  Say "hi" to Brian for me - LOL!

Ooohh poor Gus. I knew when you wrote neckpain that it was meningitis.

Waiting impatiently for the next chapter ... sorry

* hugs *

Author's Response:

Hi, Marny - you're so good about reviewing so faithfully and I really appreciate - don't worry - Gus is going to get well soon, but in the meantime both father and son will need some extra special TLC (wink, wink!):)

Reviewer: Bigdogz09 (Signed) · Date: February 10, 2011 11:02 AM · On: The Art of Compassion

Poor baby Gus.  Meningitis is pretty serious.  Of course, the wicked witches will blame this on Brian.

Wonderful beginning, looking forward to seeing this play out.

Author's Response:

Thank you my friend for reading and for the review - it's greatly appreciated.  I think I see a certain blond orderly helping both father and son in the near future....!

Reviewer: caeliacanta (Anonymous) · Date: February 10, 2011 10:47 AM · On: The Art of Compassion

I knew it was meningitis!! Poor Gus!! And poor Brian! Gah- continue please!

Author's Response:

Thank you for the review - glad you're reading it!:)

Reviewer: kinnetic_bliss (Signed) · Date: February 10, 2011 09:17 AM · On: The Art of Compassion

Utterly gripping chapter, my friend. My heart went out to Brian in his justified state of distress over Gus' illness. And, pleased Brian had his priorities so in place... not that Mel would probably agree. Lol. Of course, he wouldn't be Brian Kinney not to obviously notice Justin's charms... but he was the perfect concerned father as we all know he truly is with this delightful child.

Excellent chapter, as always. I'm very much looking forward to seeing how this story continues to develop! =)

Author's Response:

Thank you my dear - I wasn't feeling the love here - it's discouraging to write a chapter and not hear a peep about how it is.....I should have known you would be the one to leave me a review.:)  Thank you for reading - you're the best!:)

Reviewer: BluvsJ (Anonymous) · Date: February 10, 2011 06:06 AM · On: Sweet Dreams

A new story I look forward to seeing where this goes although it maybe a tear jerker

Author's Response:

Thanks, Chris!  I actually think it will (hopefully) be more on the romance/light-hearted side - don't worry, I don't think Gus is going to get TOO ill - just sick enough to warrant a certain orderly helping to take care of him - stay tuned and thanks for the review.:)

Reviewer: Reader (Anonymous) · Date: February 05, 2011 08:37 AM · On: Sweet Dreams

You have obviously started something beautiful once more....look forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  Glad you'll be reading it.  I love to have stories featuring Brian with Gus - he was always so tender and loving with him and his face just lit up whenever he saw him.  Thanks for reading and leaving a review.:)

oh oh!!!  this is a good beginning for another of your wonderful stories.  hope he didn't eat too much junk food.  lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc!  Thanks for letting me know you'll be reading this.:)  Not sure yet what sort of malady Gus will have - I think too much food is the easy way out, so I'll have to come up with some other illness - LOL!  Stay tuned.....

I did Brian/Justin so you can see it's possible :)

Once again I see Internet Explorer fails to work with another option of our website. I strongly suggest our people use IE only for copy and pasting new chapters, and the rest of the time use Mozilla Firefox.

Author's Response:

Thanks, but I've decided the subcategories section and I just don't see "eye to eye" - LOL!
