I agree with you that there should, at least occasionally be role reversal, with Justin topping and Brian bottoming.

I had't realized that this quote came from Les Miserables. Not sure why that hadn't dawned on me since I read Les Mis twice well before I saw the musical performed in London. I'm going to have to search out those other literary references.

Author's Response: Thanks Roni! I know it's canon, I don't get people who don't like it and think it wouldn't happen, cause it did.
No their not 50/50, but sharing is still a part of every good relationship, and Brian and Justin may have some rocky moments, but we should all be so lucky to have even half the love that they have.
Thank you for the compliment, it means a lot that those little things are appreciated and enjoyed as much as the main plot. Sometimes I think it's silly that I describe everything, but it's comments like this that keep me adding all those little things.

Author's Response: Warning ahead of time is what I was going for, my friend. I'm sure I'll get a few annoyed people anyway, but they shouldn't be reading my stories if they didn't want it, not only is it canon for the story, it's canon based on my writing. It feels good to be writing again, and I will continue later this week and this weekend. Thank you so much Kim for that compliment. I love the little details, too, and sometimes think it makes the chapter. Without them it would be interesting, but with them, and the chapter becomes a story, not just words that might be entertaining. I picture in my head everything I write, and usually the story writes itself, I just put down the words, so all the little details come naturally and my muse would kick my ass if I didn't include them.
As for writing the smut... it does my ego, and my muse good to have that compliment. I do enjoy writing my stories, and definitely enjoy writing the smut, to hear an author as amazing as you confirm my own belief in my smut prowess is awesome!

I was absolutely thrilled to see this story updated. I think this entire story is great. As for Toppy Justin I like when it makes since but I just can not see Brain turning into a complete bottom like some stories turn him into. Thanks so much for the compliment. I'm really glad you enjoyed this, I had a lot of fun writing it. There are a lot of great angsty stories, but I just can't write it, even if I did, it would probably be only a chapter or two before I had to turn it happy. This started out as a simple idea in mind, inspired by Butterfly by Jason Mraz, and became so much more than I expected, but I will definitely continue soon. Not sure when it will end, there's so much I could do with this story. Hope you enjoy the rest... as it comes.

absolutely love this story - and although I certainly understand how RL get in the ay, I hope it's nor really months until we see them again - especially at this point they have reached - I am a sucker for head over heels in love and ridiculously romantic Brian - nothing is hotter - and his new 'let Justin take charge' attitude is just delicious! There is so much that can be explored here - how about once they have established that they want only each other - forever - Justin sweeps him off for a wedding of his dreams - Ibitha or The White Party or something else totally hot - but still they only want each other - awesome vows f rom the heart - lots of heat when they are alone later...and that's just while they are away - then there are tons of possibilities after they get home --- anxiously waiting...

There are a number of authors here who are amazing sex scene writers, but each one is so different, I mean the same can be said for overall writing styles and stories (even similar stories can be different). I love writing them and even if I question what I write once I go back and read it and think "that was hot" I know I've got. And I don't know where the debauched angel thing came from, but that's the first thing to come to mind as I was picturing the whole thing in my head... as that's what happens as I write. I plan on updating soon... as soon as I finish. Although you'll be doing something a whole lot funner than reading stories! :D
I hope you have an amazing time... what am I saying, of course you'll have an amazing time, you lucky dog you... but then again, you probably thought that when I took my trip! :)

Makes sense. Why Lindsay would push Justin go fo to New York but demand Brian to stay is beyond my understanding.
Brian was 29. How would he think that was too young to love?
Author's Response: I meant that Brian thought that Justin was too young for love at 17. The he needing his own life was Justin. I always felt that Brian thought so little of himself that he felt no one would actually love him, it was just words in order to get something from him. Based on his childhood he never felt loved, didn't know what love was and he felt that Mikey, Deb and Linds loved him, but conditionally. They had their own image of him and anything outside that he thought they wouldn't accept him anymore. So what would a young, innocent beautiful smart 17 year old want with an old, jaded, asshole.... at least I believe that's what Brian's thinking was, deep in his subconcious. Brian needed to be his own person away from the specific labels all his friends and family had put him in. He didn't want to damage Justin with his ways and beliefs. Sorry, that was a rather long explanation, wasn't it? I get lost in my delving into the psyche of characters, particularly Brian, my favorite character of all time (and my muse). I always thought Linds was wrong for pushing Justin to go... especially knowing Brian would push Justin and Justin would give in, but I think she was just living vicariously through Justin, because she didn't have the talent, support, or determination to make it in New York as an artist. She knew Justin could. She might have still been underestimating Brian's and Justin's relationship. No one probably took their wanting to get married seriously, either. I don't think that was the end, but then again, with the show ending (really friggin' lamely and stupidly and abruptly) when it did, there was no room to discuss Justin's eventual success and his return to Brian after getting to a point where he knew that Brian would finally accept Justin as being where he should be. Anyway, I could continue this introspect into QAF life, but I digress... Thanks for the review, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the story. Update coming later today, hopefully. Laura :) xoxo
