Well it better be just the beginning.  What a wonderful story.  It's like you really have a secret door into Brian heart, you know all his inner secrets, wants and wishes.  You can express them so beautiful I am usually in tears by the time I am half way thru one of your works of art.  Now you know I am usually one to fuss over short stories but this one was so perfect I can't fault it at all.  Plus my brain finds it easier to take in short stories right now so you caught me at a good time!  I think I'm going to post this review and go back and read it again, just to savor some of the really good parts.  Your ability to weave words always leaves me proud to call you my friend.

Huge hugs, Lori

Author's Response:

My dearest Lori, being your friend is one of the easiest things I've ever done.  I treasure it.

You know how much I love trying to wiggle my way inside the minds of our two fascinating boys, especially Brian who is such a multi-layered human being.  It is amazing how many times I hear a song or read a phrase that makes me think of them.  Sometimes I just jot my thought down and save it for later, but sometimes I can't get the thought out of my mind until I write a story to go with it.  This was one of those times, and I am so glad that you enjoyed it.  I have another short story percolating in my head that is totally different.  If you remember the old classic film, 'It's A Wonderful Life' you may get a clue as to where this story is headed.  I hope you'll check it out once it is done.  You know how much I value any thoughts you have.  I hope you are feeling a hundred times better now.  Take good care of yourself and we'll talk again soon.  Warmest hugs ever, Grammy
