Midnight Whispers
QAF Brian and Justin Fanfiction

Wow that was fantastic, I love that Brian hires that young man to work on designing Babylon to get it reopened. Justin is so right moving back to be with Brian is the best thing for them both, their love is strong and will only get stronger living together. Chris is evil scum and doing what he did and doing it again even the devil himself wouldn't want him. I'm so glad justice was finally done and he was caught.

You did an incredible job with this by getting us the justice we we're looking for xx

Author's Response:

I'm so glad that you approve of my way in finally getting justice for all the evil that Hobbs feels inside.  It always bothered me that they never once mentioned the bombing after the dust settled.  We needed closure, thus this story.  So very happy that you enjoyed it, Vicki.  Thank you so much for your great comments.  Huge hugs, Grammy

What a great ending!!!   I agree wth you.   I wish the show would have followed up after the bombing to figure out who was really behind it and have them pay for what they did.

Author's Response:

It always bothered me that not one word was said about the bombing once its main purpose of getting Brian and Justin back together was accomplished.  Even a little mention about an investigation into the bombing would have been appreciated.  I'm glad that you approve of my personal theory behind that despicable act.  And of course, I was always happy to make Hobbs suffer more, even if it wasn't for the bashing.  LOL!  Thank you very much for your great comments.  Huge hugs, Grammy

I loved this. Finally, some closure to the bomb plot in 510! I was a bit worried that the bomb wouldn't be found in time, so it made for some suspenseful reading! :) Well done. Congrats on your five year anniversary!

Author's Response:

Thank you for the wonderful comments, Gotb30.  It always bothered me that Hobbs got away with a slap on the wrist for what amounted to attempted murder of Justin, and then we really have no answers to who actually set the bomb at Babylon.  So I decided to combine the two events and give us our justice in the end.  I'm so glad you liked my theory of how it could have gone down.  Thank you again.  Warm hugs, Grammy

Excellent story I loved it justice for Brian and Justin 💕

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for commenting, Chris.  I'm always happy to see the bad guys pay for treating our boys so badly.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

Now that's what I call justice. So well deserved.

Author's Response:

If they won't send Hobbs to prison for trying to kill our beautiful Justin, well then we'll just have to get him there another way.  I'm glad you enjoyed my plans for that rotten excuse for a human being.  Thank you for your comments, Sophie's Mom.  Huge hugs, Grammy

It is soooo good to see that Hobbs finally got what he deserved.  Bravo!!!!

Author's Response:

There is nothing I like better than seeing justice done, especially when someone like Hobbs didn't have to pay the price in a satisfying way for most of us.  I'm so glad you enjoyed my version of how he finally did suffer the consequences of his actions.  Thank you very much for the comments, YumYumPM.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Thank you Grammy for this wonderful story. Fondly I recall being entertained many times with your tales.

Our featured story for March is selected from the vast collection of a very talented Top 10 Founding Member. You can't go wrong reading anything Grammy's created for us. We love and cherish her beyond words.

Author's Response:

My dear Bob, I am truly humbled by your words.  All my life I've had a vivid imagination, but nothing brought it out in me the way that the characters and stories of 'Queer as Folk' has done.  For the first time I found amazing inspiration to let my mind soar, and the fact that others seemed to enjoy where my mind traveled was an unexpected, but welcome bonus to my storytelling efforts.  I am so grateful that I found Midnight Whispers, a place where an amateur like myself could feel safe in expressing themselves, along with the added bonus of being appreciated.  Knowing that someone thinks my work is good enough to be featured in such a way as this is simply delicious icing on the cake.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

Oh what a good story that was. I totally agree they did just move on so quickly and not resolve it. I really like your ending xxChris
PS enjoy your trip to see your dad

Author's Response:

I honestly think they would have explored the bombing in more detail if the show had run another Season, but the way they left it dangling was irritating to me.  I loved choosing a villain for the dastardly deed, and who better than Mr. Hateful Hobbs.  I'm glad you enjoyed my conclusions.

Thank you so much for the good wishes.  Just 10 1/2 weeks to go and I'm on my way.  I can't believe Dad is about to turn 90!  And, he deserves every happy day he's had on this Earth.  I'm just happy that I'll be with him.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Chris is such a son of a b*tch and an idiot.

Nice story. :)

Author's Response:

I wanted two things...to make Chris Hobbs actually pay for what he did to Justin, and to solve the mystery as to who did the bombing of Babylon.  Then I thought, why not combine the two?  I'm happy you enjoyed my version of the answers to both dilemmas, Saskya.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: MAFITA (Signed) · Date: August 09, 2013 06:14 AM · On: A Little Thing Called Justice

I loved it! I always wondered who had planted the bomb, as you said, this was something that should've been explored further, but they never did.... I like your version of it... :D Of course, the fact that Justin would be going back to live in the Pitts is a great bonus ^-^ I'll be reading you soon! Kisses

Author's Response:

The series writers often left holes in some storylines, leaving an opening for fanfic writers to fill in our own interpretations.  I loved trying to figure out who and why the bomb was set, besides what they thought was obvious with the protestors.  And I always have to bring Justin and Brian back into each other's arms.  It has to be the way it is every time.  LOL!  Wonderful comments, Mafita, and thank you so much.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Hello, Grammy!

I'm starting to red their stories and this caught my attention because it contains two elements that I also used in my stories: Justin in this reopening of Babylon " Episode 513: Extended Scene" and Hobbs responsible for attack on Babylon in "The Gardens Babylon" ( I'm still writing). I'd love know your opinion, if you can read them.

I really like their stories and like you I'm a fool for love Brian and Justin and I can not see them separated, so I'm falling for her stories and you are one of my favorite authors.

A big hug!

Fátima.

Author's Response:

I hardly ever read stories anymore, because there just isn't enough time in the day for me to indulge in that along with everything else I do daily, but I most definitely will read your Episode 513 story.  As soon as you finish 'The Garden of Babylon', I'll read it too.  I always wait till a story is completed before reading it because over the last ten years I've been burned far too many times by writers who didn't finish their work.  Mind you, I don't blame the writers, because there could be all kinds of reasons why they don't complete their works.  I'm just as guilty.  I have two long stories I started two years ago that I had to pull out of this site because I didn't know when my muse for them would ever return.  So I can't criticize any other writer.  But to be on the safe side, I'll stick to only reading completed stories.

I'm really glad you like my work, Fatima.  Thank yo so much for telling me.

Huge hugs, Grammy

Hi,

I've just gone back to read a bunch of your stories again.  What I love about your stories is that I can count on feeling good after them.  I haven't read them all but the ones I've read, make up for the ones that are either poory written or downers.  So thanks.

Author's Response:

Your comments are so kind and thoughtful.  Thank you very much, Judi.  In my world, Brian and Justin always end up together and in love no matter what happens to them in the meantime.  I guess I'm just a hopeless romantic and our boys bring it out in me more than any couple I've ever seen.  I'm so glad that you enjoy my 'happily ever afters'.  Warm hugs, Grammy

thanks for a great story-  5 years-  I'd have to look to see how long I've been writing but you are by far more prolific than I-  and I enjoy all your works- may your imagination never stop providing you with stories.

Author's Response:

Thank you very much, Sandy.  But you certainly have a wonderful imagination yourself.  You have a lot to be proud of.  I'm so glad that you find my stories fun to read.  One good thing about QAF...there are a ton of stories possible with such fantastic characters.  I hope to provide more stories during this next year.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

I'm so happy I was able to play a small part if helping you bring this story in on time. I actually had thought of this idea to get him in right away but didn't want to mention it till you asked. Of course I had other thoughts too, but this seemed like the best fit given what he needed to do. Now let start planning the next story where Emmett takes over as manager of Babylon, I've been thinking of the event's he can plan. Camel rides in the back room. The Badger Hole Charity Run. All the adorable cute boy will chase a scum sucking weasel thru a park filled with badger holes and other nasty pit falls. The winner will find true love after surviving it all, one broken leg is allowed.

I did enjoy this story, I guess the thrill of hearing Brian say I LOVE YOU kind of made us forget everything else about that night it is important to remember that people did die other lives were changed forever. Leave it to you to clean up the mess that even the police couldn't take care of. I'm just a little curious if perhaps Ethan didn't have a little bit to do with it. Maybe he was the one who posted the instructions for bomb building. I'd sure like to get his evil little paws muddy on this too. He's make such a nice cell mate for Hobbs, think of the beautiful music they could scream out together.
Lori

Author's Response:

OMG, Lori, you are sooooo evil.  Ethan & Hobbs sharing a cell?  What a concept.  Have to give that considerable thought.

You did more than play a small part, my dear friend.  As you know, I was really stuck on how to get that SOB into Babylon so he could be caught planting the bomb.  You know me.  It had to make sense and be realistic.  How the hell could I get him in there without detection?  Your idea was perfect.  I'm not so sure I would have finished on time without your help.  Thank you so much.  I owe you big time.  You know, one of these days I swear I'll get our boys back on a camel.  I owe you that much.  LOL!  Once again, thank you for the fantastic comments.  You always make my day.  With biggest hugs, Grammy

Fantastic story. SO GLAD Justin spotted Hobbs. Hooray for happy endings!

Author's Response:

Don't you just love it when the bad guy gets his comeuppance, Snow?  LOL!  And no one deserves to be punished more than Hobbs.  I'm glad you enjoyed my story.  Thank you for the comments.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Happy Anniversary!  I have loved all your stories and I'm now in the process of sending them to my Kindle.

As others have mentioned, you've answered the question of who might have bombed Babylon.  I have enjoyed reading this story and hope to read many more.

Happy writing!

Author's Response:

Oh my goodness!  I can't tell you how much I appreciate your words, Cheryl.  What a treat it is for me to know that my stories are worthy of Kindle.  You've made my day, truly.  I'm so glad you approve of my version of the bombing mystery.  I hope to have many more stories during my sixth year as a writer and hope you'll join me then.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Amazing story. I'm glad you saw fit to bring Chris Hobbs to justice and make him accountable for his transgressions........great job and happy anniversary ;) JP

Author's Response:

Thank you for the terrific comments, JAZZEPOET.  In my mind there is no one who deserved to spend their life in prison more than Hobbs and this was just the right way to see that it happened.  Glad that you agree with me.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Good finish to a long unanswered question.:)

Author's Response:

I am so happy you liked where my mind travelled when thinking about who actually set the bomb at Babylon.  Can't think of a person more deserving to spend his life in prison than good old Hobbs.  LOL!  Thank you for your great comment, Linda.  Huge hugs, Grammy

I thank you for your story, I too wondered who bombed the club and the series brushed over it,my money was on either hobbs, the elder taylor or maybe the man Brian had a bet with which Brian won and then refused the losers ass, there was plenty of hate to go around. I like your version it ansered the remaining questions.

Author's Response:

You have a wonderful imagination, Vlsope.  I actually considered Craig Taylor but never thought of Brian's bet loser.  Hmmmm?  But in the end, I really wanted Hobbs to pay for the bashing and this seemed the answer to my dreams.  I'm glad you enjoyed it.  Thanks for the comments.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Thanks for this angle on the horrible injustice of the bashing trial. I have to admit, I was surprised that Cowlip let the matter slide the way they did after the trial episode. It just cried out for a follow up of some sort. (Yes, I know the Pink Posse was a 'bit' of a follow up, but...)

Thanks for giving it some closure. And with such finesse! ;)

Roni

Author's Response:

What a delight to hear from you again, Roni.  It always bothered me that the bombing occurred and then nothing came of it as to guilt even though there were 3 more episodes left.  I began thinking about the possibilities as to the culprit or culprits.  I also longed for a follow-up after Justin humiliated Chris so badly with the gun in the mouth.  He just didn't seem to be the type to let it drop.  So, I added the two thoughts together and...voila, this story was born.  It just felt right to make Hobbs pay for the bashing a little more thoroughly, even though it wasn't the crime he went to prison for.  I'm so glad you liked my theory too.  Warmest hugs, Grammy

Reviewer: BritinGuslover (Anonymous) · Date: August 19, 2012 01:36 PM · On: A Little Thing Called Justice

I loved, but...I think it would have been interesting if you had written the trial as well for Hobbs. But I do love it!

With All My Love,

~Nim*huggles*

Author's Response:

So happy to hear from you, Nim.  Your suggestion concerning the trial is a good one.  Hadn't thought about that.  Perhaps I can deal with a trial in another story in the future.  Thank you so much for the great comments.  Huge hugs, Grammy

Happy Anniversary, Mandagrammy! You have no idea how much enjoyment you have brought to my somewhat sedate and dull life.

Thank you!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, Roni.  That is such a wonderful compliment.  My dear friend, Lori (Bigpaw), tells me that you are an extremely talented writer and I must check out your work.  I don't get the chance to read near as much anymore (both timewise and vision problems) but I will definitely give your work a look-see.  Thank you again.  Huge hugs, Grammy
