Oh man... I'm at the verge of crying! I'm definetely tearing up! What an amazing chapter. I mean, Blake's speech about Ted being fearless and the way Ted hugged him at the end killed me. Again, it is so beautifully written. The thoughts and the emotions of the characters are perfectly described. I just want to hug Ted more than ever! And Blake is basically the perfect man. He finds exactly the right words.
It was a really good story, dear. Perfect to end my day :)
Author's Response: Oh no! Don't tear up, my dear! I'm so glad you liked the chapter though. And the fact that you mentioned the "fearless" speech makes me so happy. I remember I got a little chocked up while writing that actually. I wrote it shortly after I made this gifset.
I don't know. I think part of me has always wanted to say something like that to Ted, if he were a real person, that is. And don't worry, I want to hug him pretty much all the time, so you are definitely not alone :P
Man, your review has me grinning from ear to ear! :) It was the perfect way to end my day. Thank you so much for your kind words, Judge Superwoman :)

Awww :'( Poor Teddy!
I mean... girl... You write so beautifully. It's amazing. All the things you so eloquently describe, they feel so real. I can picture everything. I can't help but be transported by the power of your story.
Okay, I'm on to the next chapter. I'm pulling for Ted really hard!
Author's Response: OMG BRUNE!!! I thought...wait...I have 2 new reviews?! Who are these from? Then I read your username and squealed like a crazy person! What a wonderful surprise :D You could not have chosen a more perfect username! :P
Thank you so much for saying such lovely things about my writing and about my little story. I know it's not exactly the most joyful thing to read - well, this chapter isn't at least, so thank you for sticking with it :)
I'm glad it transported you for a little while. Your reviews put the biggest smile on my face :D Merci beaucoup, mon ami!

This is excellantly written and is covering a subject I haven't seen before. Although I always love Brian and Justin stories, I have felt that Ted and Blake were a great romance as well. It's interesting to seen the rehab process that wasn't covered in the show. Looking forward to the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Jean - both for reading my little story and for writing such a lovely review :) It feels wonderful to know that you felt it was excellently written. I'm always happy to find others out there who appeciate the Ted/Blake romance.
Glad you're looking forward to more :)
Cheers,
Sarah

Well that was certainly worth the wait Sarah, thank you. I love the way you are referencing all my favourite scenes. The scene with Ted and Emmett is one I really enjoyed, due to the shift in the dynamics of their relationship, and I equally love the way you have portrayed this in a different light. Ted wanting to be Brian and the memories this brings back of Ted entering rehab for the first time then leaving, is so beautifully represented. I’m pleased Ted went back with Blake, but I fear he has more demons to overcome. This fic is so aptly named as you do need to be fearless to face your demons.
Cheers
Author's Response: *smiles* Thank you for your kind words, Flossee. I'm glad you felt it was worth the wait. Sorry it took sooo long. Ugh. I just can't stop editing things.
To be honest, that scene between Emmett and Ted has always sort of frightened me. I was so shocked when Emmett told Ted to kill himself. I know he said it out of anger, but I was so sure he'd come back a few minutes later and tell Ted he didn't mean what he said. And he never did. The first time I watched the series, I thought Ted might actually kill himself. I was so worried. Thankfully, the next time we see him, he's sitting in rehab and smiling. Still, I always thought there was a scene missing there - Ted's basically suicidal one minute and then happy the next. I always wondered how he got off that sofa and back to rehab, so I guess this chapter was kind of my way of filling in that blank :P
Thank you, as always, for reading and reviewing :) Not many people are reading this fic - "The Visitor" has five times as many views as this story does :P So it means a great deal to me that you were still so interested in reading another chapter :)
Cheers,
Sarah

guh, so beautiful. Nothing beats a sh*itload of angst mixed in with some soulwarming fluff <3 as usual, gorgeous.
Author's Response: *blushes* Thank you so much! Way to make me smile :D
I have to agree though - angst + fluff is usually a winning combo :)
Thank you for continuing to reading my stories and leave me such lovely reviews.

Very good job. You've really captured what the characters were probably thinking.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! That means a great deal :)

I always thought the eerie quiet in the wee hours of the morning would be the hardest time to go through anything like this; even if you aren’t in a rehab facility. I really feel for Ted. Beautifully written. Thank you.
Cheers
Author's Response: Aw, yeah. Those eerie, quiet morning hours have got to be quite rough.
Thank you so much for reading and reviewing and for saying it was "beautifully written" :)
It is much appreciated :)

Interesting story; not much is written about Ted and Blake's relationship, and I agree that, like a lot of other story arcs, this area was handled way too quickly on the show. I'm glad you're trying to delve more deeply into it. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to rid yourself of such a demon, and I think you're doing a good job of portraying Ted's struggle here. Looking forward to reading the rest of this. *Hugs* ~Kim
Author's Response: Thank you, Kim! Yeah, I was rather disappointed with the way Ted's recovery was handled. There were some great scenes, but I definitely felt that his rehab stay was unrealistically short - he checked in at the end of season three, was in rehab for one full episode, and then checked out. I just found it a little strange given the extent of his addiction.
Anyways, thank you so much for taking the time to read and review! Glad you are looking forward to more :)

GravityAlwaysWins; okay I just wrote your pseudonym because I love it and it makes me smile a little each time I see it. No excuses but November was a life changing month for me which is the only reason I can see for missing this fic. I sort of guessed Blake was a councillor before the scene where they walked into group together but it never took away from the fact Ted was now in a similar position to where Blake was not so long ago. I love the way you write these two so please update soon, as I would like to see where you take Ted’s account of being in rehab.
Cheers
Author's Response: You like my pseudonum? *grins*. It's actually taken from the song "Fake Plastic Trees" by Radiohead :)
Thank you so much for taking the time to read and review this story! I'm so glad you liked it.
I sure hope November was life-changing for you in a good way :)

This was excellently done! I really like your attention to details here, from the description of the common rehab area to Ted and Blake's thoughts upon being reunited. I always felt for Ted; such a nice guy and actually good looking, but so lacking in self-confidence. If only he had realized that he was beautiful inside AND out. I think we saw more of a glimmer of that toward the end of the show, however, and I always DID like him and Blake together. I'll be looking forward to more! Thanks for sharing - and Happy Thanksgiving! *Hugs* ~Kim
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Kim :) You're so sweet. *hugs you back* I always felt for Ted too. He sees the good in everyone around him, but can’t seem to see the same goodness in himself – I guess it’s both his greatest asset and his most tragic flaw. It’s something I hope to tackle later on in the story. I’m so happy to hear that you’ll be looking forward to more :)
Oh and Happy Thanksgiving to you too! I’m actually Canadian, so I had my Thanksgiving a little while ago, but thank you just the same :)

Wow, just WOW. That's all I can say. It's brilliantly written with finesse, intelligence and psychological insight. Gorgeous, absolutely wonderful. A delight to read. You are an absolutely amazing writer. I'm very glad there'll be more chapters. I can't wait. You write like a professional!
Author's Response: Well, all I can say is "WOW" to your review!
A simple thank you doesn't seem to be enough, but thank you just the same.
I'm thrilled that you liked it as much as you do, especially given your immense talent as a writer.
Thank you once again for all the delightful compliments. I doubt I will be able to stop blushing any time soon :)
