I just discovered your story. I hope you plan to continue it, because I'm hooked! I love that Brian got Cynthia involved, that he feels comfortable telling her things that he won't tell anyone else. I've always felt that their friendship didn't get enough attention in the show.

I'm going to have to go back and refresh my memory on what Mikey said. Love how Brian felt embarressed and wanted to apologize. Having Cynthia looking him up is a stroke of genius. Can't wait to find out what that last item is.
Author's Response: Please forgive the tardiness of my response, I'm glad you enjoyed this latest chapter as well as sleuth!Cynthia. Now we just have to sit back and wait to see if she is correct in assuming that Brian will find the information she has to offer is indeed of interest to him ;)

Michael really needs to get a life, other than Brian's that is. And Brian really should begin voicing exactly what's on his mind when it pops in there so maybe Michael will take a hint. As for Justin, I do think he'll welcome Brian's advances. That is if Justin go after Brian first.
Author's Response: Michael is definitely in need of a serious reality check here. He's having a hard time letting go of what could have been or better yet, of what could never be so he is acting more jealous than normal when Justin enters the picture. I agree that Brian should speak his mind when it comes to Michael as it would clear up any misunderstanding, but he also knows how sensitive his friend is so and because of this he tends to treat him with kid gloves. As for Justin...well we'll just have to see if he falls for the Kinney charm ;)

Hey you're back and you're such a tease giving us a whole chapter on lunch with Michael. gah. I like the scene where Justin doesn't leave right away, as it reminiscent of the one where they met on the street and they don't want to walk away, then they play "You Are My Sunshine". I love that scene. Now which update do I beg for next? I can't decide, but now your over your writers block maybe I can ask for "The Accused", "Wildflower" AND this one to be updated. I know, but it was only a short chapter so can I have another please?
Cheers
Author's Response: Flossee my friend you always make my day :)I'm so glad you liked this chapter....even if it was short and contained alot of Mikey moments lol. i do plan to update Wildflower next and because you asked ever so sweetly I will immediately start working on The Accused right after that ;)

Well they meet up again. Love the way Justin handled Mikey. Brian better not let Justin get away. Do we learn what happened to Brian or will it forever remain a mystery?
Author's Response: They will meet up again...and again lol. It's going to take a little time before Brian can fully remember what happened that night....but he will start to get bits and pieces of his memory back as the time goes by.

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it my friend. Oh I so agree that it doesn't get any better the Brian in predator mode....especially when he's hunting his blond haired, blue eyed beauty ;) As for Michael, well what can you say...annoying is his middle name ha!

Oh, I'm sure once he's had him that will solve all his issues....Yeah....right.....ha! Loved the description of Justin as an 'imp of a twink' and 'love sick fairy.' Both fit, though.;) And you did a great job of describing that flashback scene, BTW. I could see it clearly in my mind as I read it.
Glad to see an update to this, Tamara! I'll look forward to your next update. *hugs* ~Kim
Author's Response: Hi Kim! :) Yeah we'll let Brian be delusional about his one-off policy when it comes to Justin....once he's had him, his issues could just be beginning lol. I'm so pleased and utterly thrilled that you feel I did the flashback scene justice. I was soooo nervous about how some readers would take it.

I will never complain about a short chapter as that would just be hypocritical of me wouldn’t it. LOL I am going to be anxious until Brian finds out what happened to him. I hope he hasn’t managed to contract any infectious diseases. How will he stop Justin from walking away without raising Michael suspicions? Nice chapter ending. I would say update soon, but I will just say as soon as RL allows.
Cheers
Author's Response: Hello my dear Flossee :) Brian will be in the dark about what happened for just a little longer, but not to worry our beautiful brunet was and will remain clear of any and all diseases infectious or otherwise ;) Brian will just have to exercise a little patience and quick wit to keep suspicion to a minimum.

Ack! You were just getting to the good part! Oh, well, I guess that will just force me to keep looking for updates, then.:) I like how you are slowly progressing their relationship. And, of course, there's old, pesky Mikey. At least Justin took the hint and didn't spill the beans over what had happened. I'll be looking forward to more of the back story regarding how Brian was accosted, as well as reading about their budding relationship. *Hugs* ~Kim
Author's Response: I know I'm an evil little thing for leaving it there, but I'm glad it makes you want to come back for more ;) Justin figured that it would be wise to keep quiet about what happened for the time being somehow knowing Brian would talk if and when he was ready.

I know your muse made you do this story, but will it be updated soon. You can't just leave your readers hanging after you get them immeshed in your stories. If you think about it it really isn't fair. I know you writers have a realife to attend to also. Just put your self in your readers' shoes for a second. Sorry I just get really anxious when stories affect me and want more.
Author's Response: Hi Linda! I totally understand how you feel about getting immeshed (such a wonderful emotional description ) in a story only to have to wait eons for the next installment. Wow, I am wondering hard, what happened. Dammit, I guess an HIV test is in order.
Author's Response: All the details of what happened that night will be revealed as the story progresses. Yes an HIV test is definitely in order here, since Brian can't recall what events took place he has no way of knowing if his partner or partners, were responsible enough to play safe.

Very interesting start, Tamara! I like the role reversal here, although Justin did take care of Brian during his cancer scare on the show (although I think they definitely rushed through that.) I would have loved to have had the writers devote much more time to that time part; I think they missed a golden opportunity to showcase the deep love and support between B and J, and Brian's cancer on the show seemed to be so rushed between the time he was diagnosed and when he got better, and they seemed to gloss over it a little too much. I think that one scene where Justin was helping Brian undress and get him into bed was so tender and sweet. And when he sniffled and cuddled him against his chest - so poignant.
Anyway, congrats on all the reviews for your first chapter! I'll be looking forward to more of this. And BTW - I think you chose the right banner - I like this color scheme a lot.;) *Hugs* ~Kim
Author's Response: Thank you so much Kim :) I can't tell you how thrilled I am that it is being recieved so well. I tend to agree with you that enough attention was not given to how Justin and Brian's relationship was truly cemented during Brian's bought with cancer. I also agree with you about the banner.....even though we all know it's due to your genuis ;)
I just want to say thank you again for all your support and guidance, it means a lot to me and keeps me motivated~JP

As usual, I'm perusing before I pass out from lack of sleep. The title caught my eye and surprisingly, I was able to stay awake to read through this. I' m a sucker for stories where Brian and Justin meet differently than canon and this one doesn't disappoint. I have a couple of questions though: Steve Harvey's radio show is aired in Pittsburgh? Brian was lying naked and prone on the cold hard ground. That had to have been uncomfortable yet Justin asked what happened before turning him over off his cold squished nut, or maybe Justin was thinking instead of asking the question?
My mind goes to weird places before it shuts down so might see things a little clearer after sleep. IN the meantime, I like the story and would like to read more. I’m really curious about Steve Harvey. I thought he was only aired in Chicago for some reason.
Author's Response: Don't worry my mind sometimes goes to weird places too lol. But to answer your questions Steve Harvey's radio show is broadcast in a great deal of cities including Phillidelphia, and the station could very well be picked up in the Pitts. Justin was basically thinking out loud when he asked Brian what happened to him. He really didn't expect an answer to the question it was just such a shock for him to find someone in this condition. Things will start to fall in place and become much clearer as the story unfolds.....please bare with me :)
