Kintellect! I love it!
Author's Response: I know, right? So secretly pleased with that one. But the longer you get to know someone, the more proficient you become in their "language", and Brian comes with a significant amount of baggage. Most of this is articulated in his painful facial expressions... :(

I enjoyed that I beleive it it is very close to canon for these characters. Life isn't meant to be easy is a saying that describes their relationship 👍
Author's Response: Thanks! Canon is VERY important to me. I usually avoid anything that is OOC, and try to stick with reasonable interpretation.

Love love LOVE this! Perfect, wonderful. It's really hard to capture Brian and Justin's "conversations" in a believable way, but you did it. And your Brian is so so recongnizable and so . . . what's the word I want? . . . Poignant. That's as close as I can get to what I'm trying to say. His thought about things in his life being "unresolved" was very moving. But he's also hilarious - his observations about Justin's living conditions were brilliant. Especially the spider trying to make its escape. I saw everything as clearly as though I was watching a movie.
It's really hard to write post-5-13 stuff well and uniquely, but you really nailed it. There are familiar fanon details like Justin being a waiter and living in a death trap, but you managed to make them come alive and feel fresh and new. You really owned them and not borrowed them- if that makes sense. I was really worried the story would get all goopy at the end, but it really didn't. Like Brian thinks about his life - things are "unresolved" at the end of this story, and that's exactly how it should be when it comes to Brian/Justin.
I'll stop rambling and sum up. Brilliant dialogue. Brilliant description of the setting. Brilliant job at catching Brian's voice and the content of this thoughts, brilliant job of catching Justin's voice, and a super duper brilliant job at find the perfect mixture of thoughtful, poignant and funny. You made me fall in love with Brian all over again. Great job!
Author's Response: Thanks! As a fan of your work, this is a great compliment!

I enjoyed that. Things aren't perfect or ideal with their long distance relationship, but they are making it work and it suits them. Great job. :)
Author's Response: Thank you! :)
