Whew! I am so thrilled to see that the guys made it through. This story was a rollercoaster. Sorry to see it end.

You are really good, you know that? Well, of course you do... this story is truly beautiful and your words are reflecting true emotions and life... Just last week, I've seen an info about a new way to treat cancer by injecting some sort of vaccine, which isn't agressive at all, directly into the bad cell. Thank god for all these wonderful people who work everyday to find new ways to beat that s***. Anyway, I love this story and especially the dynamics in all relationships. Perfect. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.

Author's Response:

And thank *you* for reading and commenting :)

My husband says the research is going quite well.  Better than expected, I think.  Let's keep our fingers crossed that it can go into clinical trials soon and help people at end stages like Brian - as well has help treat the disease early enough that chemo won't be necessary.

Haha .. I really should read the writers bio because I also didn't realise Frayach and Maggie Maybe we're one and the same. I have commented on the other site but feel that where Life Goes On and this particular story are concerned I couldn't pass up the chance to once again applaud your brilliance.

Author's Response:

Hi Carol!

Actually Maggie has gone back to being Frayach.  Confusing, I know, but it's nice to have the same name in both archives.  I'll be posting simultaneously both here and at AO3.

I am so pleased to know you liked this story :)

So Brilliant along with angst, hope, triumpet (sp) and LOVE!

Thanks for sharing, along with the tears!

Author's Response:

You're very welcome and thank *you* for reading and commenting.  It means a lot to me :)

I love your story,I can't wait to see what comes next!2

Author's Response:

Being a sequel to another story, I doubt I'll write another, but it makes me happy to know you'd like one.  That's a sign of a successful story :)

very cool chapter-  is the vaccine your husband is working on for all cancers or specifically stomach cancer?

Author's Response:

It's for all cancers as far as I know.  It works the same on all tumors regardless of where they are.  Let's keep out fingers crossed that it goe to clinical trials soon!

I'm glad you enjoyed the story :)

sad and happy just how Brian and Justin should be could have done without the cancer but you need the sad to get to the happy

Author's Response:

Indeed.  Angst (almost) always makes a story fun to read :)

Thank goodness.  Things did turn out okay.  Nothing better than a survivor.

Author's Response:

They totally kick ass, don't they?

Glad it all worked out in the end, dnt like sad ending for our boys . :)

Author's Response:

I hear you!  There was no way I was going to put you guys through all of that and not give you a happy ending :)

Well, I finished reading it and it wasn't always easy, but the best stories so often aren't. I am glad that Brian made it through (Justin too!) and would love to know what happens afterwards.  Kudos on your husband and his vaccine!!!  Very exciting stuff.  I am a nurse and someone I worked with was basically given a "death" sentence from skin cancer.  She had 2 young kids and a husband and had a lot to live for.  She enrolled in a clinical trial that involved a new vaccine and I bet you know how it ended.  This was 17 years ago and she is alive and well!!!  She even went on to have another baby.  It makes me so grateful for people like your husband and all those who work so tirelessly to cure these deadly diseases.

Hi,

Well written and no warning of Major Character Death so I'm trusting you......

Author's Response:

Your trust was well-founded :)  I just posted the final chapter . . .

Wow I think Justin did do the right thing. Brian doesn't want crying and sad faces. Hopefully things will get better.

Author's Response:

Justin definitely did the right thing, and that becomes even more clear in the final chapter, which I just posted :)

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: June 01, 2015 05:36 AM · On: Chapter 3

I don't see how going to New York helps.  If Justin wants to be there for Brian, he need to be THERE.  This is way too realistic.

Author's Response:

LOL!  Since I'm aiming for realism, I'll take that as a compliment :)  I just posted the last chapter - it might answer some of your doubts.

Oh this story is just killing me because it's just so true to life, isn't it?  Bad things happen to everybody and if they are lucky they have people around that love them.  Still, the thought of Brian dying and leaving them all behind is just terrifying...I still have hope though.....looking forward to finding out what happens.  I think!!!  Great story though.

Author's Response:

Thank you!  I just posted the last chapter.  I hope you continue to enjoy it :)  Thank you so much for commenting!

The ending so so sad with no hope of Brian making a recovery. Does Brian die after finally having everthing he ever wanted? Is there going to be any more to this verse?

stories/1590/images/Brian-Justin4.jpg

Author's Response:

Absolutely!  There are two more chapters.  I just posted the next one :)

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: May 29, 2015 09:00 PM · On: I Promise

Okay, can you manage a miracle?  Please.  My strength is running out!

Author's Response:

I brought them together in "Life Goes On" - I'm a miracle worker ;)

Reviewer: bonef (Anonymous) · Date: May 29, 2015 12:27 AM · On: Chapter 1

So Brian and Justin can be together if everyone and everything that Brian valued is totally or mostly out of his life.  Seems about right.

Too bad about the cancer.  But if he was good til he made fifty,  Brian's done better than a lot of cancer survivers.

Author's Response:

Yes, he has.  But testicular cancer has a very high survival rate and relatively low likelihood that it will spread.

As for everyone and everything being out of Brian's life, keep reading :)

Reviewer: shf1210 (Anonymous) · Date: May 28, 2015 02:36 AM · On: Chapter 1

i was starting to like this and I knew I should have waited like I did the first part till you posted it all stupid me liked the first so I wad like why not read it in pieces and then you end the first chapter like that so now I wAit I'll your done and just hope you go for a happy ending because I can't handle sad.

Author's Response:

You might want to wait until I post the last chapter (chapter 4) because chapter 3 is about as angsty as it gets.  But I think you'll enjoy the whole story when it's complete :)

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: May 27, 2015 08:19 PM · On: Chapter 1

Oh, no.  Things had been going so well.

Author's Response:

Yes, But life never goes smoothly for long does it - thankfully for the good sometimes :)
