They will discuss it more, and I have to figure out where the talk will take place (here in the future chapters or in the companion story) As for WHY...I'm explaining it in the companion story. It still has a few more chapters left.

Okay now there're back together! But it's does't feel real. It seems to easy for Brian to win him back; I know that Justin and Brian spent months away from each other and that Brian use everything possible (flowers, romantic messages...) to win him back but I hope that they gonna dicuss their relationship more, because for me it's still not enough for Justin to forgive Brian. I don't know if it's because he bottomed for Evan or because Evan is someone Brian has feelings for, what he did seem still unforgivable.
Anyway, I'm a little relieved that they're back together and gonna work their relationaship to a better place, but I have to confess that I don't feel the sparks anymore. Hope it change.

Well, sorry to say this but I think that I will be among those who are not reading this story anymore. It's not because B and J will get together again, or because of the secret admirer. Author's Response: Justin's decision to forgive Brian...and Brian's explantion about the way he acted in Miami it will be explained at some point in the future.
Too many months have passed and Justin had time to think it through (even though, I didn't show it much). He's willing to meet Brian and hear him out whenver Brian is ready to talk.

I don't understand your story anymore. Brian fucking Evan ok, it's the kind of behavior Brian absolutely could have but sending flowers to Justin to make him come back to him, really? Actually in this story it's impossible for Justin to come back with Brian, Evan is always here. When Justin cheated on Brian with Ethan Brian didn't want to hear about Ethan anymore! And here Brian is working with him, he sees him everyday, it's beyond comprehension. Now either Evan have to go definitively and Justin might think to forgive Brian or Evan and Brian stay together. After all, in the begining, Brian seemed to have feelings for him. Because once again Brian doesn't make promises if he knows there is a risk that he can't hold it. This is Brian. And I find Evan is a good guy. There is too much ambivalence now, it's not clear at all. But I don't want to upset you because I love your fics usually and I read them with pleasure mostly your one shot. So now Justin might have balls or to forgive or to give up. And I like Evan he's protective of Brian. He isn't childish like Justin now. So now I'm looking forward to read the next chapter... I know that it's the writer liberty how to write their characters but Brian and Justin should keep their depth even in a fanfiction; that's what make them perfect for each other; and this Brian and this Justin don't.
Brian trying to win Justin back with flowers and expensive gifs, please!, come on NOOOOOOO! Brian has always said that actions are more relevant to prove things. He should have ask Justin with Kinnetic New York for example, that's what had proven Justin his importance in Brian's life. That's more like Brian! Now we just have Brian telling everyone that he loves Justin (and it's sooooooo believable after what he did) but in actions showing Justin that Evan is still important to him, maybe even more than Justin himself. The relationship that Brian and Evan are sharing in this story is the realtionship that Justin and Brian had in QAF, only without the sex now. The part where Evan praise their work as business partner so broke my heart. I don't see BRITIN anymore. Maybe you should give Justin an out for him to find true happiness with some who gonna trully love him and only him; AND give Brian his happy ending with Evan since it seems that it is what he always wanted.
I'm sorry, again it's not against your writing skills, it's just I can't anymore. This relationship you created between Evan and Brian is unbearable for me, I even would have agree with sex if it was just sex. But there are deep feelings, so I quite.

I'm enjoying your fic very much. Justin is my favorite character on the TV series therefore any fic that is centered around him is a plus. The story is very atractive and well written. For this last chapter, I have to say that Evan is a very stupid man. He made everything possible to take Brian to bed and now he is berating Justin because he cannot forgive Brian's infidelity? How can he blame Justin for Brian's suffering? How can Justin forgive Brian if Brian still is spending time with Evan? They are now business partners, for crying out loud. And how can Brian expected to gain Justin forgiviness if he still in contact with Evan? Would have Brian accepted Justin to remain friends with Ethan after they reconcile all those years ago? I don't think so. And Justin isn't attracted to Ethan like Brian is to Evan. I think that Evan and Brian are desolusional and very selfish. I hope that Justin is not running to rescue poor Brian for his "suffering" because that would be very very wrong.
But this is my opinion anyway.

My God! my hate for Evan has just reached a new level! Please can you explain why Evan has so much power over Brian! Hello, I always loved your stories, you're a good writer. Normally i don't put reviews but this particular story got to me. Though i'm not sur i will get to the end of this one (too heartbreaking). I have also read the campanion story and i have to say it scareded the hell out of me. I really didn't recognize Brian in there but that's not a critic againts you, they're your caracters you write them as you like. I don't like the fact that Brian keeps Evan with him and i don't understand it, if he trully wants justin back, but i suppose we'll understand it later. It really feels like his relationship with his ex boyfriend is more important than Justin.
Otherwise it's a really intersting story and you're really good at ANGST!
I have some question hoping you can answer them. I just want to know (for a little peace of my mind) if Brian gonna express feeling for Evan (i know you said nothing more physical gonna happened between them but seeing them together i have some douts) and if Justin gonna meet somone else during the time he spend away from Brian. When you said they gonna spend some time apart what does that represent: weeks? months? years?

Your number 3 chapter end note , even though Brian was mean and cruel at times he didn't do it to be intentionally cruel. He thought he was doing the right thing for Justin by throwing him off a cliff ect. But he matured later on in the show. And he was a better man after the bombing. Wasn't mean or cruel anymore.
Brian would never in the show keep Evan around. But this is fan fiction.
You told another reviewer that Brian didn't know that Justin was being hurt by Evan hanging with Brian. But in the Thanksgiving chapter when Brian is in the bathroom Justin tells him that he is hurting him. So he does know. So how could he keep doing that to Justin. Is his NY office more important then Justin? I'm confused. You don't have Brian being mean in the beginning of the story and when they were close as can be after the bombing he couldn't do that to him. He can you be that cruel if Justin is his love of his life.

Regarding your comment (3), I agree Brian was sometimes/often mean and cruel in the show, but after the bombing of Babylon, it was very rare and maybe no more towards Justin.

I really love your story even if i had some hearthache during my reading. But I have some questio i hope you can answer you write at the end of your last chapter that Brian and Justin are going to spend some time away from each other. That kind of scarded me! But isn't Brian going to do everthing to get him back? shouldn't he stalk him?
And I have to say that it's a smart idea to use Ethan as a friend; to maybe help Justin grew up even more and maybe forgive Brian, rather than to use him as a way for Justin to revenge on Brian.

I didn't like ethan in the show but I think in this story I would be okay with he and justin getting back together for a short period of time. It would make brian jealous and maybe get him to work even harder, but whatever you choose to do will be great. Although I like how justin is trying to mature about the whole thing, it would be only natural for him to want to hurt brian the way he was hurt. I don't want to tell you how to write your story, but i hope this evan friendship doesnt last much longer if brian is serious about getting justin back.

Author's Response: Well, it's your opinion, though Brian is still his strong character person, like in canon, the only thing is that he was reunited with the first man he felt somethign toward, and had no idea how to resist. He did try, but the curiousity and desire won, in the end.
For now, Brian is hanging with Evan so he'd get help on branching out his company.

After reading this chapter I have to say that I don't like the way that Brian is being portrayed. The real Brian whether or not he was trying to get back with Justin, would never be hanging out with Evan after what he did to Justin because he would know that it would hurt him. Brian should cut ties with him. Having Evan around with Brian is just Hurting Justin and rubbing his face in it. I think Evan can be around in other ways for drama, and not have to be friends with Brian. I am just not a fan of that decision sorry.
Is Evan going to be Brian friend as he tries to get Justin back? And if yes isn't that disrespectful to Justin? Will Evan be in it the whole time?

Author's Response: Brian is using Evan now to help him with Kinnetik. He plans on forgetting about Evan once he has the office open...it might not work like that, though.
Anyway, Brian will have a plan to get Justin back, I don't want to give away anything.
I will explain Evan's stay in Pittsburgh over Thanksgiving in the companion story, chapter 2. :)

Hmmmm .. Interesting. Now I'm wondering if Evan is as much of a manipulator as I first thought also I'm slightly concerned that I don't actually dislike him. Evan is such a slime. Brian really needs to do some about him hanging around, especially if he wants Justin back. The fact that Justin is ripping up drawings of Brian is bad, very BAD. Ugh, the fact that Brian is STILL hanging out with Evan bothers me. Because he didn't learn his lesson when he LOST JUSTIN?! What a jerk...He deserves everything he gets. But you're right - the fact that he's still around is more dramatic. I just hope Justin doesn't find out...he might get the wrong idea.
I do like Daphne being on both sides, in theory. But ultimately Brian fucked up. Daphne was in essence telling Justin to just 'get over it' and it isn't really fair to him. Especially because the situation isn't the same as when he was with Ethan. I'm not saying Justin wasn't blameless then, but there were so many different factors in play. They were barely in a relationship then - they were planning on getting married now. That's a HUGE difference.
Also, when a person is hurt like that it can't be fixed so easily. It almost sounded to me like she was defending Brian and saying Justin was in the wrong for being upset at all, which isn't right. But, this is only the beginning. And I hope she will be able to play a part in getting them on speaking terms again since she is on both of their sides.

I don't think Brian should be having Evan up in his hotel undressing him and putting him to bed. It's not right for him to be taking care of Brian because he caused this mess. He should feel anger at least partly towards evan.
If Evan stays around it should be in the bar and not in his hotel room or Brian bed. And Brian shouldn't let Evan become his friend now. Don't like Evan
Two days of them being together is not a moment of weakness, so Brian could of stopped it any time.

YES!! Justin has every right to be upset but Daph is RIGHT!! They are EVEN! What goes around has now come back around for Justin- poor thing- but if I were Brian, I would be using some of the same tactics to win Justin back that were employed when the shoe was on the other foot. It is my hope that Brian doesn't revert to his old way of thinking entirely. The Brian Kinney we all know and LOVE is a fighter even if he does it subtly at times. Ok .. I've just read this in one hit and I have to say I feel more than a little sorry for Brian. I completely understand why Justin is so upset but if he doesn't stop acting like a baby and man up he's going to lose. Evan is a predator and in this universe where Evan is concerned Brian is vulnerable. They have history, mutual respect, unfinished buisness .. whatever .. nothing in life is black and white. Evan is exploiting their past connection and if Justin doesn't stand up and fight he's basically playing into Evans hands. Brian was honest about his past 'relationship' and Justin saw the threat but I don't think he recognised it for what it was. This isn't Brian sneaking around behind Justins back intentionally breaking his promise this is Brian not being the one in control. Brian loves Justin but he's human and in a moment of weakness he made a painful mistake, one he fully acknowledges and now he is full of remorse and wracked with guilt. We all know where this could lead, Justin once he's thinking straight knows where this could lead ... Brian needs Justin to forgive him. IMO Brian deserves to be forgiven. I don't expect Justin to just roll over but I do think he needs to take a step back and try to view things more clearly. People make mistakes, Justin is no exception, the question is is Justin big enough to forgive. Gandhi said "The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong"... Justin is strong:)

Evan is most definitely a SOB (I know I've already said that) Doesn't sound like Brian realizes that Justin heard what was going on. First off just let me say, I really like this little story you’ve got going on here. I do enjoy a story with a lot of angst and this one has it coming out of the walls. So, I for one will be with you all the way through and can’t wait to see what you do in future chapters. Okay, now for the review- Evan is someone who goes after what he wants and isn’t above stooping lower than a snake’s belly to get it, to hell with the consequences and to hell with whoever gets in his way.
And, unless I missed something, he topped Brian without a condom. If Justin get’s a hold of that little bit of information, I’m afraid more shit than Brian can handle is going to hit the fan, he is going to have a very hard time winning Justin back. I have a feeling Evan isn’t quite done yet. Looking forward to the next chapter : ) *Hugs* Janet
Author's Response: Funny enough, I love angst, but I never wrote it. Until now. Glad you like it.
I will explain Evan's actions in the future chapters, but there is no excuse for the way he coerced Brian into sleeping wiht him.
Uh, there was a condom, I didn't mention it because well...I'm too used with it being obvious from the Britin scenes. I should have added it so you wouldn't worry.

Author's Response: They did it....I was vague on purpose. I didn't want ot get in too much details with their time together.
As for Brian explaining...I'll let you discover in the next chapter. :)

Wow, the last 2 chapters were intense. Evan is a total asshole, he was so not listening to Brian that I was afraid he was going to rape him. And he kind of did, cause Brian resisted for quite a long time. No sexual consent should be obtained like he did it. But anyway, I hope you will update soon, cause I'm very anxious to see what happens next with Justin.
Author's Response: Evan didn't exactly take advantage of brian, but he was so pushy and sure that Brian would cave, that he insisted until Brian fell under his spell.
Well...Justin is devastated.

Joy, you sound awfully familiar, just not under this name. Please, don't try and harass an author who has warned you about what was going to happen from the beginning.

Brian should have kicked Evan out; he's far too weak for a guy like this.
Author's Response: Hmmm I don't think he's weak. Evan had the same influence over him as Brian has over Justin, and some feelings are still there, no matter how much he is denying it.
