each chapter show the many layers of Brian, Justin, Em, and Ben. we see them so totally involved and Mel has become the person they look up to. Snooty Puss always pitted her against the family so she would be the voice of reason--mel learned to love Brian to see what a good father and person he was, and the family found out she was great lawyer and stood up for family.
