Oh man it’s getting more and more intense isn’t it. The stalker is really hell bent on getting Justin and even using a lookalike. I’m sure poor Brian is going around the bend with worry, I know I would be as well if it was the person I loved. God love the person if Brian gets his hands on them.

Lol I just love how you have their voices so right. The constant teasing and intelligent one upmanship I could really believe would be a feature of their relationship. Both Brian and Justin because they are so intelligent would be bored in a second with partners who could not amuse, test and baffle each other.
Author's Response: I feel that this is the reason that Justin was able to break through all of Brian's walls - he's a very intelligent man; one that has the ability to stimulate (no, not that way you pervs...okay, well, yes, that way too; but I meant intellectually stimulate in this case) and challenge Brian. And brian doesn't quite know how to deal with him because he is nothing like his usual tricks. Brian really never stood a chance. Thanks for reading! :)

I thought the beginning part of this chapter, especially, was ingenious, Ashita. Having Brian and Carl working together as a labor of love for Justin was a wonderful idea as a shower gift to his husband. Loved it. And BTW, thank you for all the photos. It certainly does help you picture things in your mind's eye.
I continue to love how each man knows the other so well in this story. And your characterization of them, as well as the other characters, is spot on. I could definitely see Carl saying and doing what he did, for example.

I had no idea what Brian was working on in the stables until I wrote this, and then it just made sense that he had to have learned it from Deb and Vic; and Carl was just a natural selection for helping. Hi, Ashita! First of all, no apologies necessary. I don't know how you do it! I envy your ability to update so quickly.
This chapter was both funny and sexy. I wrote a story several years ago about Justin being in tights, but at least it was for a Renaissance Festival; this was hysterical, thinking about him worrying over varicose veins, and how Brian got turned on by observing him.
I adore how you are especially portraying Justin in this story; 'squawked' certainly fits - ha! All the ins and outs of his pregnancy - and Brian's reaction to it - is priceless.

I loved it though, and Brian's reaction and his non-jealousy made me LOL several times. Author's Response: It always surprises me how incredibly rude people can be; when I started this project, I signed up for a baby tracker that would send me weekly updates to draw inspriation from. And one of the articles on my weekly update addressed rude comments made by others and how to deal with them. I was shocked by some of the things some expectant mothers have heard. Just, why? Whatever happend to treating your fellow man with kindness and dignity and...well, like you'd like to be treated yourself. It definitely prompted me to write this particular vignette just to point out how rude and thoughtless some of these comments are no matter how funny they might seem at the time. As for who it is, it's funny, but on another site that I post on, they were all convinced it was one person, and now suddenly they have all swung to another with this last post. It was kind of funny to see that, and I'm glad I'm keeping you guessing. I live for the comments where everyone is trying to figure it out. :)
On a random, off note, do you ever find your self trying to type the word 'just' and automatically start typing Justin? Because that has been an issue for me lately. LOL! I find myself having to double check everything these days. :)

Good chapter, and I agree on the childbirth issue. I have never been able to understand why people want to give their opinions on everything. If someone wants my opinion, fine, I will answer, but it is their choice to do what suits them not mine. But, I must add just for fun that I did not get a choice in naming my daughter. My husband only picked one name and it was Kevn, but every name I picked he vetoed. Then my mother told us it was a girl and she was calling her Suzanne and my husband said that's it. If it is a girl, it's Suzanne. So much for my Jennifer or Abigail. Sometimes it is easier to give in than start a war LOL !!!!!!!!!! I really should have just gotten feisty and named HER Kevin. That would have fixed everyone. HaHa

That's why there are so many options available. LOL! That would been cool! I know someone who named their daughter James, which is wht I selected James for Emmett's fictional daughter's middle name. Hi, Ashita! LOL! I can definitely sympathize with Justin's dilemma about having his food at the top of the shelf when you are short! It seems like every time I want something, it's at the top. I have resorted to much of what he did in this chapter to get to the food - ha!
I like how you mixed in humor with angst again in this chapter. I love how Justin was able to tell the Twinkies were knockoffs, and it was clever how you wrote a flashback about Justin having an experience with his potential stalker. I am dying to find out who it is, and the background behind that!

Author's Response: Hello Kim! Ihave to confess that I'm on the tall side, so I rarely have a problem with reaching the top shelves. Once in a great while it's a bit of a stretch, but not like poor Justin. My sister on the other hand, took after our grandmother and is always hopping and stretching and contorting herself in weird ways to reach them.
The funny thing is, I didn't plan to put the two parts together in the same chapter. The Twinkie discovery was supposed to happen in the previous chapter. But when I wrote the last line of that section, it just ended in a natural place and I put the Twinkie discovery in the next onewhere the grocery store trip gave me an opening to use that small section.

Befoe, he was so focused on the threat against Brian that he didn't really think about where he fit into the equation. Oh I was on tender hooks reading this as to what the cop may have found. I loved how he dealt with it and I think he would be a great guy to keep around I like him. Justin won’t like having a bodyguard but Brian right he will do anything to protect him and Justin would do the same for him.
Cant wait for more of this brilliant story.
