Tear tear tear--- I also feel for the 17-year-old Justin alone in the hospital who was abandoned by everyone who ever mattered to him. Oh Justin *hugs* Daphne's a bitch (at least in this story) - even though she may not have known what happened to Justin, she never made any attempts to contact him either (that we know of) - no phone calls, no emails, no letters... even if she tried a few times to get through via his parents, if at first you don't succeed... and not being in contact with your best friend for 3 YEARS...

Thank God for Brian! He's awesome! This story's awesome! These past 2 chapters are awesome! YOU'RE awesome!

What I love best about this story is the instant connection felt between Brian and Justin through the emails and IM's. (Those IM's *always* have me smiling and laughing!) I enjoy watching Brian sort through his emotions and thoughts about the relationship, where he's been and where they're heading. He just keeps on surprising himself, which is really fun to read.

I really like that in this chapter we see Justin taking steps to overcome his PTSD and social anxiety. Even though the shyness and blushing are cute, watching him becoming the strong individual we all know he can be (like in the phone call with Lindsay) will be fantastic!

The IMs were fun for me to write. I was so nervous when I began, but their conversations just flowed out of me (and they made me giggle). I love writing this Brian. He's so sprung, and that troubles him a little, but he just can't help himself :)

Justin can finally start to deal with his PTSD/SAD now that he's with someone who supports his efforts (rather than making his anxiety worse, which is what Ethan did).

Well...I can't say how many chapters are left, but I'm in absolutely no hurry to finish b&e's story. I love writing about them and will happily continue to do so for many many many months (it's already been 8; I know that some B/J writers have stories they spend two years or more writing, and I wouldn't be surprised to find myself in the same situation with b&e).

Wow...I'm both pleasantly surprised and distressed by your reply...I'm a very "Dirk Gently writer" (a Douglas Adams character who follows cars that look like they know where they're going, but, surprisingly, always ends up where he needs to be). I do the same with very basic plotlines, letting my stories develop as they will, for the most part.

The Ian-assault charge-sex tape plot needs to be resolved, as does Justin's "people problem." I also plan to continue exploring Brian and Justin's relationship (given that Brian is new to relationships and Justin is new to passionate, loving relationships) and Brian's two sides (the one he shows Justin and the one he shows the rest of the world, which is even more pronounced a difference given Justin's altered background, making Brian "softer," and Brian's non-canon love of romance stories). Then of course, throughout, I plan to continue having Justin and/or Brian tell various kinds of stories in various ways. I love the metatextual aspect of this story (I think this one (of my stories) is probably my favorite, too, although the Forbidden is a close second).

I have no clue what length that translates to...but if I had to guess, I'd say at least 80 more...I'm probably way off...I'm not a good quantifier...I could never guess how many jelly beans are in the jar :) :) :)

I'm not sure what you're asking. I assume you mean how many more chapters for this dinner, rather than for the story as a whole...I do this a lot with b&e. As you may recall, their first meeting spanned six chapters...the new bed, three...the high school fantasy and aftermath, five...and so on. Basically, I break at what seem to be natural pauses, and I write until I run out of story.

Translation, I'm not sure :) :) :)

But if I had to guess, I'd say one more, maybe two.

I just read the first three chapters and loved it! I adore Brian and Justin getting to know each other through email and can't wait to see how their relationship progresses. They are exactly what the other needs, someone to listen, who allows them to be themself and without demands.
