"Truth be told, he's been my teacher.."

This Brian is compassionate and honest with himself. I always felt they both learned from each other.

"My sensitive, sweet, artistic blond boy had drastically changed."

I try to avoid prison fics, but this one drew me in.

I somehow found this by accident and skimmed throught it. It looks like an amazing story.

The howl concept of the story was scary but you wrote it down amazingly. You got the balance between what might have been and the original and would have pulled this whole story off, even if Justin really had done it.

Thanks so much.

I'm glad I ran from your LJ to mw, to read the rest of the story. I couldn't wait another day.

It is a really good story, very different then all the others I have read.

thanks for writing this one

Author's Response: Thanks for reading.  I'm glad you enjoyed it, even though it was a bit different.  :)

That was a really good story, very original! Thanks for writing it! :)

Author's Response: Thank you very much, Memo.  I know that very little has been written about the Pink Posse arc.  I'm glad you liked it.

wonderful ending. like how brian made his heart heal faster.

Author's Response: Thank you.  I am thrilled that you liked the fic.  I realize that this was a difficult subject, but I hope I did the storyline justice.

Reviewer: mactwck (Signed) · Date: May 12, 2009 07:58 AM · On: Chapter 14

This whole story has been about "all is not what it seems".  Hmmm...I wonder what else you have up your sleeve.

Nice chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you dear.  Do you know something you want to share? LOL

if only a police officer was there to hear all that. i hope they get him before justin gets out of the hospital.

Author's Response: Brian will make sure that the police know.  He's very protective of Justin.  Thank you for reviewing.

so you're leaving us not knowing if he survived and will be fine, survived and is paralized, or he's dead. not nice rebel, not nice at all. i did like the chapter and finally michael's understanding.

Author's Response: Next chapter is already posted.  I tried not to make you wait too long.  Thank you for reading!

Justin has to be ok, it would break Brian if he isn't. Please update soon, I want to know what the doctor says!

Author's Response: Brian would be devastated if Justn doesn't survive.  The doctor is very realistic in what he tells them.   I appreciate your comments...keep them coming!

Reviewer: alys (Anonymous) · Date: May 08, 2009 08:42 PM · On: Chapter 13

A beautiful chapter, Brian tells Justin he loves him and Jennifer takes Brian into the room w/ her. Now for Justin to be okay.

Author's Response: Thank you alys.  Brian finally broke down and actually said the words.  He's afraid that Justin will die without knowing how much he means to him.  Thanks again for the review!

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: May 04, 2009 06:35 AM · On: Chapter 12

That Cody is a bastard! I had a feeling he was the one stalking Justin.

Justin has to be ok! If he pulls through, I wonder if he will remember that Cody shot both him and Chris.

I'm glad Brian finally told Justin that he loved him. He'll fight even harder to stay alive.

Author's Response:

Brian finally told him what he vowed to do once Justin was out of prison.  Cody followed Justin because he was afraid that he would remember some day.  If he didn't show up and jostle Justin's memory, who knows if Justin would have remembered so quickly?

Reviewer: Memo (Anonymous) · Date: May 04, 2009 12:19 AM · On: Chapter 12

Ha! I knew it! Love this story!

Only if Justin survives, though.

Author's Response: Your comment put a big smile on my face.  So happy to hear from a new reader.  I hope you continue to enjoy the story.

Reviewer: sjmpets3 (Signed) · Date: May 03, 2009 08:21 AM · On: Chapter 12

man that friggin' cody. justin may be shot, but he isn't dead and he won't die. carl will arrive and justin will tell him everything. good bye cody you fucker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how many times are they going to have to go through stuff like this? if they don't go nuts it will be a miracle.

Author's Response: Cody really is evil.  Poor Brian had to witness Justin getting critically injured again.  Thank you for the feedback.

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: May 02, 2009 10:58 AM · On: Chapter 11

I wonder if someone is following Justin. We haven't heard from Cody since the trial.

Poor Justin, he must have really suffered something terrible that night Chris was killed!!

Author's Response: You have no idea what Justin has been through!  He is indeed being followed.  Thanks for the review.

Reviewer: sjmpets3 (Signed) · Date: May 02, 2009 09:06 AM · On: Chapter 11

who is watching him? whomever it is gives me the creeps.

was this a good session? from that reaction i don't think so. unless what he was remembering was something that cody had done.

Author's Response: It's definitely someone creepy.  The next chapter reveals a lot.  Thanks for reading.

Reviewer: mactwck (Signed) · Date: April 24, 2009 12:34 PM · On: Chapter 10

For a new author, I really like your story.

You have a certain style of writing.  It kind of reminds me of someone else....

Author's Response: Thanks for the compliment.  As for my writing style you know what they say, "imitation is the best form of flattery".  Hopefully it reminds you of someone who is an awesome writer!

Reviewer: sjmpets3 (Signed) · Date: April 24, 2009 06:14 AM · On: Chapter 10

i don't blame justin for being apprehensive about the hypnosis. it will reveal more than either of them are ready for.

daphne is a charm. and she loves justin. wants to take his mind off of things for a while.

i hope brian takes his own advice and stays out of trouble too.

Author's Response: Hypnosis is a scary thing.  You never know what memories it might unleash.  Daphne is a great friend, and will help Justin mellow out.

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: April 24, 2009 04:25 AM · On: Chapter 10

I'm glad Justin agreed to the hypnosis. I'm so curious as to what memory he is holding back. Brian's love for him is so obvious...even if he can't say it yet.

Author's Response: The memory will be the key to an important revelation.  Brian wants to tell Justin, and was ready to do it, but it's harder than he thought.

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: April 24, 2009 04:13 AM · On: Chapter 9

Justin is free, but yet he still isn't. Whatever those dreams are hold the key as to what happened that night. i hope that doctor is able to help him.

Author's Response: Justin is headed in the right direction.  He is going to get the help he needs to unlock his memories.  Thanks for the review.

Reviewer: sjmpets3 (Signed) · Date: April 17, 2009 12:01 PM · On: Chapter 9

the aftermath of people knowing is hard to deal with. i hope dr. dugan will be a big help. bringing brian in will help too. hypnosis, will bring the bad back but maybe also memories of the prom and he'll be able to see just how much brian loved him then. that may help too.

Author's Response: Yes, Dr. Dugan will be a big help.  Thanks for commenting.

Reviewer: TaraN (Anonymous) · Date: April 12, 2009 01:05 PM · On: Chapter 8

I am glad that Justin was found Not Guilty, but I don't understand how or why? What led the jury to that conclusion?

I like this story and am looking forward to more.

Author's Response: Justin's defense was not guilty by reason of temporary insanity.  Maybe I'll try to work more details for the reason for that verdict into the next chapter.  I'm glad you're enjoying the story, and hope you keep reading!

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: April 12, 2009 10:31 AM · On: Chapter 8

Thank goodness!! What a relief for Justin and Brian! Now they need to find out what really happened.

Author's Response: Justin is out of prison, and for now they'll celebrate.  But things will go from good to worse.  Thank you for reading.

Reviewer: sjmpets3 (Signed) · Date: April 12, 2009 07:31 AM · On: Chapter 8

this entire chapter caused me to read with a smile on my face.

i loved it, and brian's actions at the end were alot better than the words for now.

job well done.

Author's Response: Thank you.  I'm happy that you enjoyed the chapter and it made you smile.

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: March 30, 2009 12:33 PM · On: Chapter 7

I knew that would be rough, but for the most part Justin handled it well. I'm not suprised that Brian lost it, that had to be so hard for him to witness.

Author's Response: He knew that Justin's decision to testify probably wasn't a wise decision.  It upset him to see his partner treated that way, but Justin made it through.

Reviewer: sjmpets3 (Signed) · Date: March 30, 2009 09:38 AM · On: Chapter 7

brian losing it will do no good, the DA bagerring justin will do no good. right now nothing is looking good for justin. where the hell is cody and why isn't he a witness for the defense?

Author's Response: Cody has not been called to the witness stand for the defense because he already testified for the prosecution.  If he changes his story, it will be perjury.  Justin is stronger than everyone thinks, but he's been through a trauma, and can't remember everything that happened.

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: March 17, 2009 11:51 PM · On: Chapter 6

What an intense situation. I'm glad we're getting to hear Justin's POV. I'm so nervous about him being on the stand, especially during the cross examination. They are going to have to tie Brian down when that other lawyer questions Justin.

Author's Response: This entire scenario is very tense and troubling.  Brian is very protective of Justin, and it will be hard to see the lawyer attack him.  Thank you for the review.

Reviewer: mandagrammy (Signed) · Date: March 15, 2009 04:20 AM · On: Chapter 6

Very interesting story Rebel.  I'm glad that I discovered it and tried it out.  You have a talented way with words.  Your story is believable and a fascinating 'what if' version of a very emotional scene from the show.  I am enjoying it a lot.  I look forward to the continuation of this story and the answer to the mystery of whether Justin truly did fire that gun or was the victim of a trauma that has robbed him of his memories of what really happened.  Thanks so much for posting it here.  Hugs, Grammy

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Grammy.  I wanted to write about something which had never been done before.  Your kind words are very encouraging.  I'm glad you are intrigued by the story, and hope you will continue to read and enjoy it.  *Hugs*

Reviewer: sjmpets3 (Signed) · Date: March 14, 2009 11:13 AM · On: Chapter 6

i still think putting him on the witness stand is the right thing to do, but going over all the events that lead up to chris' death really don't bode well for justin. i hope there will be a light at the end of this dark tunnel for him, and for brian.

Author's Response: Justin is being forced to relive traumatic events of the past, but he hopes that the end result will make it all worth while.  Of course, his concern for his loved ones is making him rethink things.

Reviewer: Jersey (Anonymous) · Date: March 05, 2009 01:19 PM · On: Chapter 5

Wow!

Dear Rebel, that is an incredible story !!! I like how you described the scene and I like the fact that your doing it with Brian's point of view !

Do you plan of using Justin's view too so we can feel how he's feeling about everything ? I wonder if you'll make him have a meltdown ?

Also, It doesn't surprise me that Justin would tell Brian to forget about him... I'm sure he's ashame of himself and thinks he isn't worthy of love right now...

And I hate Cody...

Keep up the good work and update soon please !!! See ya, Jersey :))

Author's Response: Thanks so much Jersey.  Love your enthusiasm for the story.  I was thinking of doing it from Justin's pov, but I may just keep it to Brian's.  I think we all hate Cody!  LOL

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: March 05, 2009 12:31 AM · On: Chapter 5

Cody needs his butt whipped, he's as much coward as Hobbs is. They were two peas in pod, one was a closet case and nut case and the other was out and a nut case. I'm glad Justin's lawyer ripped Cody a new one and I LOVE Daphne, knew she would make a great witness. She'd go to the ends of the Earth for her Justin.

I'm looking forward to reading more details about that night. Something is off, but I can't figure out what. I just can't imagine Justin killing anyone.

Author's Response: Daphne is the best.  She was always there for Justin, and is truly his bff.  Cody is dirt.  Perhaps there's more to the story, and maybe there isn't.  Hope you keep enjoying the read.

Reviewer: sjmpets3 (Signed) · Date: March 04, 2009 12:24 PM · On: Chapter 5

it seems to be going good for justin, but that friggin' cody can ruin it all. what a coward. he himself should be arrested for perjury. lying on the witness stand is not a good thing. i feel so bad for brian and justin. justin needs to defend himself. i hope his lawyer lets him.

Author's Response: Having Justin defend himself would be risky.  Cody is a coward, and a sicko, who Justin regrets getting involved with.  Thank you for reading.

Reviewer: Tee (Anonymous) · Date: March 04, 2009 10:48 AM · On: Chapter 5

I still don't think that Justin shot Hobbs. Don't know how or why I think this, but I just do. Please update soon, this is a really good story and a good take on this.

Author's Response: I'm pleased that you are enjoying the story.  Hope it keeps you entertained.

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: February 17, 2009 01:36 AM · On: Chapter 4

How sad! I am so happy Justin finally let Brian see him and I hope its the last time he tries to tell Brian not to wait for him...that's a fight he won't win.

Author's Response: Justin is horrified at what he's done.  Right now his self esteem is zero.

Reviewer: chelsea (Anonymous) · Date: February 15, 2009 07:44 PM · On: Chapter 4

please update more... really loving this story

Author's Response: Thank you!  I hope you continue to enjoy it.

I wish Justin would talk to Brian ... what happened? I don't think Justin will handle this very well at all. I love your story! :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback.  Justin is feeling guilty, and doesn't want Brian to have to go through the ordeal of a trial because he's thinks he's destined for jail.

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: January 28, 2009 07:16 AM · On: Chapter 3

Oy! What a mess, I wonder what actually happened, what went on when Chris was killed.

I'm glad and of course not surprised that Brian is sticking by his Justin.

Author's Response: Brian will always stick by Justin, no matter what.  But Justin feels he deserves to be iin prison, and he may be right.  Thank you for commenting.

Reviewer: TaraN (Anonymous) · Date: January 27, 2009 08:59 AM · On: Chapter 3

I think it cool that Brian is standing by Justin, even though he has convinced himself Justin is a murderer.

Would love to know what happens next.

Author's Response:

Justin is also convinced he's a murderer.  So he may never get out of jail.  Thanks for the review.

Reviewer: sjmpets3 (Signed) · Date: January 27, 2009 08:24 AM · On: Chapter 3

'The prisoner refuses to see you Mr. Kinney.  There is nothing you can do.  You should go home.' OMFG! I can't believe that justin won't see him. is he resigned to the fact the even though he is innocent brian won't want to be with him? i know cody did it after justin walked away. i feel bad for all of them. jennifer doesn't deserve all this either.

Author's Response: Justin only accepted Brian's help with a lawyer for Jennifer's sake.  He really doesn't think he will be found innocent.

Reviewer: Kat (Signed) · Date: January 21, 2009 03:24 AM · On: Chapter 2

Oh snap! You have to update this soon!!

Author's Response:

I'll certainly try my best!

this chapter was so revealing in as to what brian thinks about his relationship with justin and how he'll try and do anything for him. i loved it.

Author's Response: Brian would do anything for Justin.  Right now he's hurting because Justin is in a bad place, both mentally and physically.  Thanks for the review!

This is a very interesting take on what could have happened. Keep up the good work, I'm truly enjoying it! =0) Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Author's Response: Thank you.  I'm so glad that you're enjoying this fic.  It's going to be dark, but I think the scenario is entirely possible.  Hope you're having a great weekend too!
