The entire gang was present and accounted for... loved it. Ted and Emmett are two of my favourite characters on the show. It would have been hilarious if Little Justin and Molly made Brian spill his own coffee down the other side of his Armani.

Hi, Fatima! I read this work a while ago, and I wanted to write a review since then. When I finished reading, I had only one thought in my mind – ‘'what a perfect story!'’. I definitely got everything I wanted – interesting plot, intensity, talented descriptions of feelings. It's so in-canon that it hurts :) I loved every moment of it, and though I don't actually read the works that don’t have Brian and Justin as the main characters, I'm always up for something like that – let alone that I really like Ted, and it's always fun to see how their friendship with Brian develops. I truly enjoyed their interaction in the show – I just couldn’t get enough! You described their first meeting perfectly. It’s just how I’d imagine that (if I actually thought of it before).
And I liked Emmett and Godiva, of course! They were incredible! Actually – who would have helped Ted to adjust to his new life better than them :) I liked how they tried to shorten his name – it was hilarious!
And I was glad you mentioned Justin – it was a pleasure to see him. The entire scene was very beautiful.
The ending was amazing as well. I was really happy for Ted. You created a very special atmosphere.
Thank you for this wonderful masterpiece! I’ll definitely re-read it!

Cute litte story, Tamara! Really enjoyed it, as well as how it slowly built to the climax (pardon the pun - ha!). I figured Brian was toying with a certain blond, too, and we all knew he would not be able to resist such a temptation.;)
Thanks for posting, my friend! Really enjoyed it.;) *Hugs* ~Kim
Author's Response: Thank you Kim! It means a lot to me that you enjoyed this little fun fic. Of course Brian had to toy with Sunshine a little...but the climax was well worth it, and I think Justin would agree ;)

What a surprise to find out that Ethan is Molly's teacher. How yecky is that. I'm surprised with all the yelling Ethan was doing it didn't disrupt Molly's performance. Can't wait for the next chapter.
Author's Response: Hello my friend!
Justin really did not believe that Ethan was unaware of the connection between him and Molly.Na fact, Ethan is a professor of music Melody, Molly's friend. The sons of Ethan studying in school that Molly works and they became friends.
I always wondered how it would be a meeting between Ethan and Justin. What would happen? As at that time, Justin is so depressed and unhappy with himself, he reacted in a more emotional way than one might expect after so many years, but this will be beneficial in the long term for Justin.
The screaming near the stage, say that there were so many cries so (Ethan need to keep your image) and the table was not as close to the stage that could disrupt Molly's performance.
I'm sorry I delayed so long to answer your comment, but real life has been very difficult in recent months and I have not had much time to my writing and reading.

Really enjoying this story. Certainly never envisioned Ethan Gold with a wife and family!
Hiding in the closet,yes.
Author's Response: always wondered what happened to Ethan. So I decided to write what could have happened to him from the decisions he was taking for his career. Many people still do it. They hide under disguises.
I think Ethan skirt with women to hide his homosexuality and had sex with them, of course he did not really want to get married, but was forced from an unplanned pregnancy and when he realized the situation was all made up.
Many people go through this and are very unhappy. So I used Ethan to portray it.

Author's Response: Hello , my dear !
I am very happy that you are happy with what I'm writing from your idea. I've never been a big fan of Janet Jackson and how not speak English, never sought the translation of your music, but when I started doing research to write the history, ideas have emerged and were suddenly taking a completely different path from idea original. I know where I want to go and I have set the final scene (as is common for me in all my stories), but what comes in the middle is still a little vague even to me. And I'm really enjoying it.
Unfortunately, real life has not been easy for me in recent months and the story should take a little longer, but I do not intend to abandon and retake it soon.
A big hug, my dear, Fatima.

Oh my god, thank you. I have often imagined how Justin and Ethan would be when and if they met again.
I never liked the character of Ethan Gold, I found him to be a manipulitive. Justin would complain about something that Brian would or wouldn't do, then Ethan would give him the response that Justin wanted to hear.
I am totally enjoying reading your story. Thank you for this moment.
Author's Response: Hello! Thank you for your comment. I also always imagined it would be like a meeting between Justin and Ethan years later and what would happen. I'm glad you liked it.
I really do not dislike Ethan. I do not really like their attitudes, but it was not that bad and I think he really liked Justin.
As for it being a handler, I have to agree with you, but I believe he did this to show Justin that he was not Brian and Justin could trust him. Justin also complained all the time of Brian to Ethan. We have to be fair to the poor guy.

I live this update.I was nevery very fond of ethan but all fics are very mean to him.He was so young when he met justin and we put him to death for one stupid mistake.Yes he tell a lie and yes brian never tell lie....but he was younger than brian and has difference life and he was the opposite of Brian.I'm not trying to make him the perfect men but it is not the worse....and Justin did not need the cheating cause he was never in love with him never.Authors could have easily bring him to brian in different ways.....i think it could be better.I 'ma always Brian Justin but don't send them back together so soon....Justin need someone as perfect as Brian and then go again to him :) or maybe brian could do something to steal him back.Thank you for posting :)
Author's Response: Hello! I'm sorry for taking so long to answer your comment, but real life has been very difficult in recent months.
I do not dislike Ethan. I like Ethan period on the show, because I see it as a defining moment of the relationship between Brian and Justin. I think Ethan was very beneficial to the relationship between Brian and Justin.
As for the betrayal of Ethan, I do not see it as the main reason for their separation. Justin was already disappointed with Ethan, with all the history of hiding their sexuality, besides, I've never seen a stronger sense of Justin for Ethan than a passing enthusiasm, typical of adolescents. The betrayal was just a spark in a situation that Justin was increasingly dissatisfied.
The scene with Ethan, to me, reflects Justin's disappointment to see that Ethan continued to deny to himself and to others who he really is and it is inexcusable for Justin. After all, he almost died because of their sexuality.
A big hug, Fatima

Emmett is also a delight and I really like that Godiva was a part of your story. She is someone Emmett obviously held close to his heart but we never got to meet her.
Great job, Fatima!

Interesting! So Mel introduced Ted to the group. I wonder what Mel and Ted living together was like? that living situation must have had some weird dynamics.
I have conflicting views of Teds character on the show. I liked his wit but I hated how sorry he felt for himself. He was talented and smart guy who should have felt like he had more to offer. Having a relationship fail like it did with Bill and moving home under less than ideal circumstances would have contributed to his woe is me attitude.
Interesting take on the Brian-orgy-taxes situation. It always seemed to me that Brian wasn't telling the whole truth.
Thanks for the story and keep them coming!
Author's Response: Glad you liked it!
I made the Mel and Ted decision off of the times they went out together, just the two of them. They were shown going to the movies and out walking together several times so I wondered about their bond. I figured there might be a story there and just went with it.
I feel similarly when it comes to Ted. It's sad that he had a low self-esteem. He's good looking and smart. I hated how he treated Emmett when he became addicted to crystal meth and the whole bleached hair and plastic surgery storyline of season 5.
I always wanted to know more about what happened about the orgy Brian mentioned. I still want to know lol. So I came up with this to try to ease my curiosity.
Thank you for reading and reviewing!

What a well written look at Todd. It would have been nice if this had been explored during the show.

Author's Response: Thank you, my dear Emilie for your comment. This was a very difficult story to write because there was much anguish, since I see Todd as a tragic figure.
I wanted to show the relationship between Brian and Justin from someone who did not have a close relationship to them and Todd was the perfect choice. I am very glad you liked that moment in history.

Love your vision of Todd, Fatima! I want to thank you for taking on my challenge. Hopefully we get more people to participate for May since we were the only two who took it on haha. But I like that we took different approaches to the challenge yet both saw Todd as a man with a very troubled past. Thanks again for writing this!
Author's Response:
Thank you, my friend by commenting my story. I also hope that more authors accept the new challenge May and write a great story about our beloved Theodore "Ted" Schmidt. I thought Todd as a tragic person when I started writing this story about him. I was glad that you also imagined a troubled past for him as I do. We had ideas for our very different stories, but at the same time complementary. Is for this reason that I love challenges.

Thank you for taking up the Todd challenge. It's a brilliant idea and you did a great job.
I was struck by the scene in the waiting room between Todd, Michael and Brian. It was like two secret identities were being revealed; Todd's life as an ER doc with the ultimate control over live and death and Brian's caring, vulnerable side. Todd is active and Brian is passive in this moment which flips the usual scene at Babylon.
Todd and Brian use sex and drugs as a pain management/stress reliever and both vowed never to let love touch them. I wonder if they feel a sense of kinship in this and that is why Brian asked Todd to help with Mickey and Justin's topping techniques. Ehh, maybe not, Brian may just be acknowledging Todd's status as the ultimate bottom. Neverthless, Brian must trust him.
I also wonder if Todd would have helped Justin during his recovery as he went through the same thing. Something tells me he would not have been very active in it as the pain Todd carries is too great.
Good story,
Deb
Author's Response: Hey, Deb!
Wow! Much and thank you for your wonderful review.
You could perfectly understand what I wanted to go with the story.
I wanted to show Brian and Todd as opposite sides of the same currency while with many points in common.
I also really like the waiting room of the scene. That's when Todd makes the shadows behind the scenes.
I think Brian relies on his skills as bottom and why asks him to help Michael and Justin.
I can not see Todd helping Justin in his recovery. Todd needs as much help as Justin and could not be useful in Justin's recovery, especially when there is a lot of similarity in the violence that both suffered.
Again, thank you for your comment.
A big hug, Fatima.

I'm glad that despite the tears, you liked the story and let your comment. This is very important to me. Thank you!
A big hug, Fatima.

A hauntingly beautiful story that shows great sorrow and pain.
Beautifully written!
It had me in tears.
So sad there is still so much hate in the world.
XOXO
Soirsa
Author's Response: Hi, Soirsa!
I apologize for the tears. I'm very glad you enjoyed my story. I also cried at times to write it.
People are often cruel and capable of hurting others in many ways.
I know that history has a lot of anguish, but he is both very realista.Inicialmente time, I do not want it that way, but I'm happy with the final outcome of the story.
A big hug, my dear. Thank you for reading and commenting on my stories. This is very important to me.
XOXO
Fatima.

Good, compelling story.
Too bad there is still so much hate in the world.
Author's Response: Thank you for your comment. I'm very glad you enjoyed my story.
She was sadder than I expected, but I think it was very realistic, too.
It is really unfortunate as there is so much hatred in the world and how people are capable of doing so much harm to others.
A big hug and thank you for commenting on my stories. This is very important to me.

9,100 words? Ack! No wonder I'm so tired - LOL! This was a very unique story idea, my friend. Very bittersweet, but well done. *Hugs* ~Kim
Author's Response: Hello, Kim!
I also can not believe that I could write three stories totaling nearly 30,000 words in less than twenty days. Wow!
I'm sorry to be the cause of your cansaço.Lol.
Thank you, my friend for your comment. When I took the rabbit and challenge of Annie I really did not expect the story to take this course. But I'm really happy with it.
Thanks again for your help with this story, my friend. It would not be posted here if not for you.
A big hug, my dear!

Beautiful, but such a sad story, except that hot threesome.
Thanks.
* hugs *
Author's Response: Hello, Marian!
Thank you for your comment, my dear!
I really did not expect this story to be so sad when I started writing it.
As for the hot threesome ... Well, Brian and Justin involved, any threesome can be very hot.
A big hug, my dear! Fatima.

Hello my friend!
I took a break from writing my story about Todd and finally read your.
Very sad for the whole story of Todd, it really is not right here.
I found a great idea to make it the waiter ended with Brian during his only meeting.
I like to see the characters in pre-series of stories where Brian and Justin can relate to other people without having the focus centered only on the non-relationship of the two.
A great story that brings a light to a character that was just another shadow in the background of Babylon.
A big hug, Fatima.
Author's Response: Glad you liked it, Fatima! It was definitely interesting to write and I am proud of how it turned out. Can't wait until your Todd fic is posted as well. I also enjoy pre-series stories. There don't seem to be too many of them in this fandom and the ones that do tend to be focused on their childhood. It was nice to go just a couple of years before 1x01. Thank you for reading and reviewing!
Hugs to you too, Anne

Now that I consider it, Todd is one of the only regulars at Babylon that B/J interacts with in a non-sexual way. Maybe he was the only one. HHMMMMMM.... seems like there's lots of story potential there. I hope lots of writers take up your challenge as I would read all of them.
BTW, You gave Todd such a sad backstory. As said before, Todd is not "fine". In my head I have always considered him as a young man having the time of his life, much like Brian seems to think Justin has to have. Hmm....Seems like more story potential for someone else.
Great job and keep them coming (especially It's a Mystery as I love that fic,)
Author's Response: He is. I know that he was just there as an inside joke more or less but I always found it odd that the would never take him back. I'm guessing Brian had to have fucked him once or twice, considering how often the two of them frequent the back room.
I decided to play off of the idea that appearences can be deceiving. In this story, Todd used sex to distract himself from his severe problems. Sort of like Michael Fassbender does in Shame, which if you haven't seen you should. Now that story is depressing.
I think Brian seeing Todd as the ideal representation of having the time of your life would be a very interesting fic. Hopefully a writer comes up with a story like that. Hey, maybe you could take on the challenge. :)
Thank you for reading and reviewing! I have part of Chapter 8 for It's All A Mystery written so that should be up later this week.

Todd as the subject of a one shot is brilliant. I never considered that he would have a sad backstory. I didn't see the twist coming where he was the waiter that brian fucked. Very creative and nicely done. I look forward to any stories that are posted for the new challenge community.
Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoy the idea! Despite only being in less than 20 seconds of the entire series, he is such a fun character. Thus, I had to go and change that by making him absolutely tragic. ;) I enjoyed writing that twist as well. I always wondered about Brian's only date. Considering how the man feels about dating, I feel like he had to have had some feelings for the man. However, keeping his reputation became more important. What better way to remind him of how his community sees him than having a man who gives Brian's promiscuity a run for his money wait on him and his date for their dinner?
I hope some more writers take this challenge on. It would make my day. Spread the word so you can see more Todd fics. :)
Thank you for reading and reviewing!

hi Anne! I really enjoyed this one. It's different from everything I've read, that's really what I love about your work. Thank you 😊😊
Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed this one, Alois! I was wondering if people would even be interested since it revolves around such a minor character but I'm happy with the response so far. Feel free to take part in the Todd Challenge and join Plot or Claim! :)

Amazing look at Todd. At least he has someone at home that cares. Like how you connected Todd to Brian's first date, that was interesting. Somehow I think if Brian knew about Todd's problems he'd find a way to help asshole that he is.
Author's Response: I am so glad I had the character of Margot in the story. I think it would be too dark if he didn't have her. He sees her as the woman he would fall in love with if he were straight so I'm glad that he has her if he doesn't have a devoted partner. I was excited to do that connection and I'm glad that people seem to remember those couple of lines in season one where Brian talks about it. I think Todd is an extremely troubled young man in this fic. He feels like he deserves to be used and degraded during sex when he is feeling particularly down. I think if Brian knew the extent of Todd's sexual abuse and how his parents treat him, he would probably have more sympathy and maybe genuinely ask how he is, rather than a formality.
Thank you for reading and reviewing!

Very interesting accounting of events Annie Boo. it makes you wonder if Todd could have been the lucky waiter to make Brian end his one and only date.
Author's Response: Thank you, JP! After I finished the series, I looked back to that small moment in season 1 where he tells Michael he's only been on one date and wondered about it. Due to Brian's aversion to dating, it makes me contemplate how he felt about that man. Was it a college fling? A man he met at a club? I feel that it is possible he started to fall for that person to a certain extent but wanted to be Brian Fucking Kinney more so he pushed the date off the Kinney cliff by fucking the waiter. It could have gone down in a completely different way but I feel that Brian would have had to like the man enough to even consider going out with him on a date to a restaurant. I thought Todd made a good choice for the waiter because Brian sees Todd as a safe bet. Todd likes to fuck around possibly more than he does so Brian wouldn't have to worry about his repeat rule with him. In this story, I feel like Todd does develop a little bit of a crush on him though. But who wouldn't?
Thank you for reading and revewing! It means a lot!

Poor Todd. He isn't fine!! * sigh *
Author's Response: He really isn't, is he? Someone needs to give this man a hug and tell him that it's fine not to be fine. Thank you for reading and reviewing!

OMG!
What I pity I'm absolutely unable to write revews.
The only thing I can say is THANK YOU!!!
Author's Response: Haha! You're welcome! I want more Todd in the fandom too, hence the challenge. Thank you for reading and reviewing (and requesting to translate the story.)
